- Bom Jesus Do Monte - We start our tour on the top of the mountain and visit the most magnificent Sanctuary in Portugal and its magical staircase.
- Se de Braga - Known for the city of the Archbishops where we will visit its historical center, visit the interior of the Cathedral. We will have exclusive access to the interior of the chapels as well as the high choir of the monument.
- Diana - Stop for a delicious lunch at the Diana Restaurant where the intense flavors of the northern cuisine of Portugal combined with the Vinho Verde (Green Wine).
- Guimaraes Castle - The oldest castle in Portugal was where the first Portuguese king grew up and has a very important significance and a reference to the country’s independence.
- Paco dos Duques de Braganca - Then we will visit the Palace of the Dukes where we are dazzled by the luxuries of royalty from other times. A whole history of Portugal will be told by our local guides who have always followed the group.
- Guimaraes - At the end of the day we invite our visitors to discover the romantic medieval city of the historic center of Guimarães. We will stroll through the narrow old streets of the city and possibility for some souvenir shopping.

This small group tour begins with a pick-up from the participants’ hotel or place of stay and can accommodate up to 8 people.
Our first stop is Braga where we’ll be exploring the Bom Jesus Sanctuary, including a splendid climb on its grand staircase that leads up to the main church.
Subsequently, we’ll be offering an exclusive insight into the country’s oldest cathedral, allowing you to discover its chapels and high choir.
Lunch will be a delightful experience of traditional Portuguese food at a local restaurant. Here, you’ll have the chance to sample the region’s renowned ‘Vinho Verde’.
In the afternoon, we travel to Guimarães for a relaxed amble around the medieval city. Here, we’ll visit the famed Castle, a site renowned as the roots of a new kingdom: Portugal.
Following this, we head to the Palace of the Dukes, where the opulence of a bygone era awaits. Our local guides, present throughout the tour, will narrate the captivating history of Portugal.

Could not have been better - The tour was a fantastic experience from start to finish. Our guide was Pedro and we got on extremely well. He was friendly and had a lot of interesting information for us at every point of the trip. The visits to both places gave us enough time to experience the lovely sights but we also crammed in a lot. Excellent tour and would absolutely recommend.

Excellent trip to some incredible places - The trip was excellent. Pedro our guide is a lovely guy to spend time with. he had a lot of insteresting information to tell us. The locations are simply stunning and well worth the trip. The food for the included lunch was at a lovely restaurant. Overall a fanststically intetresting and rewarding trip.

Definitely recommend - Great day trip from Porto. Our guide Pedro was excellent. He was courteous, attentive, knowledgeable. The tour was great as it was a small group, on time, good laughter and interaction, learned and saw a lot. Will definitely use this company again in the future.

Book it now! You will not be disappointed. - We had a fantastic time on our tour thanks to our amazing guide, Pedro. He was incredibly knowledgeable about the places we visited, and also very willing to indulge all our questions about Portugal's history. He also made wonderful recommendations for places to go outside of the city. I would absolutely recommend this tour and think it is the best way to see the "best-of" in and around Porto. If you are waffling, don't! This is a must-do tour.

Fun Day - This was a great tour. Our guide, Pedro, was charming and full of interesting, historical facts. It was a very small group (only 5) which made the excursion even more enjoyable. I loved both towns, especially Guimaraes. It is a really delightful area. Another plus was that I got picked up at my hotel.

Great day with an amazing guide - The day was great. Silvia is very attentive guide, professional and friendly! The mini bus pick all tourists up from respective hotels. We went to Braga and afterwards to Guimaraes- beautiful towns and sufficient time to go around. The lunch was very good, plenty of food and really tasty which is very rare ocasion on such tours. The choice of fish or meet or both (food was shared on big plates) plus entries and dessert. After, we continued our journey. Both towns are interesting to explore! Very recommended trip!
