Hoover Dam - As one of the select Outfitters authorized to guide you to the base of the magnificent Hoover Dam, we offer a unique experience. This isn’t the usual 81 Hoover Dam Access Road; it’s a restricted route requiring passes from the National Park Service. Guests must go through an approved outfitter like us to launch kayaks from the base of the Hoover Dam. The journey includes Sauna Cave, Goldstrike Waterfalls, Melt Your Shoes Hot Springs, Arizona Hot Springs, Boyscout Slot Canyon, and the Emerald Cave.
Arizona Hot Springs - A hike from the river, climbing a large ladder through a waterfall, leads to the renowned Arizona Hot Springs.
Lake Mead National Recreation Area - Boyscout Slot Canyon: Technically part of the Grand Canyon, and in our opinion, the highlight is BOYSCOUT CANYON:
Without rappelling gear and a rope as long as a football field, this is the safest and easiest way to experience thousands of feet of geothermal waterfalls and endless rain caves.
Colorado River - Although only a small portion of the 30 hours on the river is spent kayaking, it covers 11 miles downstream. We can either ride the flow of the Hoover Dam’s morning water release for a quicker return or spend more time enjoying the therapeutic hot springs. Kayaking the Colorado River provides backdoor access to Goldstrike Hot Springs, Sauna Cave, Infinity Hot Springs, and Boyscout Canyon. Expect to see numerous rain caves, engage in bird watching, and often spot Big Horn Sheep while paddling. It’s a pleasant workout, yet entirely manageable.
Colorado River - Sauna Cave: Enter a lava tube-like 140-foot deep and 140-degree natural steam room. We pause to enjoy a moment of silence, setting intentions for the trip if guests agree.
Black Canyon City - Explore Goldstrike Canyon with its hot springs and geothermal waterfalls, where springs can reach up to 120 degrees.
Colorado River - Enjoy more time hiking and capturing stunning photos above Infinity Hot Springs, Paradot Cave, and Paradise Falls.
Kayak with the Flow of 86,000 Gallons Per Second Released from the Hoover Dam to Paradot Cave and Emerald Cove
Emerald Cove - Visit the world-famous Emerald Cave on the return journey.
Arizona Hot Springs - Optional: Stop at the Hot Springs for a final soak in the medicinal benefits before kayaking back to Willow Beach.
