At least one night camp is a must to get the real Chobi - Incredible Safari!! We had recently done the Serengeti and Masaai and wondered if we needed to do another safari and glad we went with our gut because Chobi was insane and so different. The landscape and the experience is wild and so much wildlife. Would 100% do the camp or stay in Chobi somewhere as all the action came at dawn and dusk(as you would think) and it gives you the time to really enjoy what Chobi provides for you. The camp was amazing. We went with basic camp and it was perfect. Great homey camp food, good stories by the fire, simple tents and listening to the African Lullaby to put you to sleep. The guides make you feel completely safe knowing what is out there somewhere. The boat in the morning with Opie was great. He helped us swiftly get through the border and provided a great boat safari, lots of knowledge, safe trip and some cool close up encounters with buffalo, hippo, Crocs and lots of intricate bird life. Our safari guide, Godfrey, what a guy. Such a passion himself for the park and the wildlife. He saw and heard things you wouldn't even think of as a new comer to the park which allowed us to experience so much. He was also like our own personal Chobi encyclopedia and answered all of our questions above and beyond and the intricacies entwined. For example he was looking at the animal tracks In the morning to determine animal direction and where to go. From his experience the days before he knew where certain herds were. While we were stationary he could determine what were warning calls and used other animals behaviour to determine the direction of "danger" but for us "experience". This lead to seeing hippos, Crocs, all the different antelope and birds, leopards in trees and on the ground, an amazing experience with a lion pride of 3 females and multiple cubs, crazy elephant herd encounters and sunsets and meetings a few big residents like lions and also a new sub adults while also walking home with so much knowledge about how the ecosystem interacts. Even explaining how irregular it was to watch a Zebra trying to help it's mate across the river. Then to explain this indicated the mate was sick or injured and the helping zebra was overly caring given the heard was looking to move on. Incredible time and 10/10 would recommend.

The best way of doing a Safari - We visited Chobe to enjoy this wonderful experience. The tents were very clean, the camp was fully equipped with everything we could need, and the meals were both delicious and generous. Our personal guide, Khaleb, welcomed us at the border with Zimbabwe and stayed with us until our return. He made our two days truly unforgettable, allowing us to experience the atmosphere of the bush like a real bushman. We are deeply grateful for his hospitality and friendliness. He tried his best to show us as many animals as possible in the park, successfully guiding us to encounters with lions and leopards. We would also like to thank Mr. P, the camp’s chef, for preparing excellent Italian pasta, Gee for the camp’s organization, and the entire Kalahari Tours staff for making our stay so special.

Flawless organisation and a superb experience - We did all our transfers, Chobe river cruise and national park day trips with Kalahari Tours and the experience was second to none. We have the most wonderful experiences and our game ranger Obi was outstanding. He found us a rare leopard sighting and our skipper on the boat, Six, steered us within meters of an elephant crossing in the river. Highly recommended tour company.

Spectacular safari - The safari was absolutely incredible! Truly the most amazing experience of my life! Our tour guide Leo was exceptional! He was tracking the lion and elephant footprints in the dirt and led us straight to them! He went above and beyond to make sure we saw all the animals in our two days. He drove us all over the park and gave us ample time to admire the animals and take pictures. Would one million percent recommend!

Truly amazing experience - Without doubt the best wildlife experiences we have had. From start to finish we are so pleased with all the sightings - from bigger like elephants and giraffes to the smaller ones like the jackal and mungoose. Excellent service and camping arrangements. We would recommend Kalahari Tours to anyone interested in safaris in this region of Africa.

Most amazing experience - Fantastic experience! Camping under the stars surrounded by africas wildlife and hearing them was amazing. We saw so such wildlife, I’d never imagined we would see so much. The guide was so knowledgeable about the animals. We were well fed for the duration. The river cruise was also amazing and we got so close to a giant crocodile. Highly recommend. The only thing I would suggest is maybe a few more stops to get off and stretch your legs, but that’s a suggestion not a criticism.
