Additional Information

The Freedom Trail, a brick-paved walking route famous worldwide, connects Boston’s essential role in the initiation of the American Revolution. It is recommended to explore this pathway with a small group, guided by a well-informed local. Throughout your journey of 2.5 hours, beginning from Boston Common to Copp’s Hill Terrace in the North End, you will have the opportunity to witness all the sixteen official landmarks showcased on the Freedom Trail.

Our intimate group tour deeply explores the years from 1760 to 1776, a period of tremendous upheaval that paved the way for the American Revolution. As we walk in the wake of Boston’s colonial inhabitants, we wrestle with their crucial dilemma—loyalty versus rebellion to the rulers and government.

Through engaging narrative-based tours, Hub Town Tours provides a robust outlook on why Boston is referred to as America’s ‘Cradle of Liberty.’ As you pass by significant locations of the Revolutionary-era Boston, your guide will unfold the riveting narrative of a petite colonial town moving towards a war against a mighty empire.

A tour of Boston’s History - Yr guide, Rosalie-Kate, was wonderful, funny, and knowledgeable. I learned a lot about Boston’s history. Paul Revere, Samuel Adams, and John Hancock. She made the history something I now what to check out. The walking was good but I slowed down toward the end.

Interesting and informative tour - Very interesting tour. College students in our group said “if my history teacher in high school had been like this, I would have liked history.” An adult next to me replied “I agree!”

Fabulous tour guide Kaitlin - Our tour guide Kaitlin Jencks was absolutely amazing. Her knowledge and passion was next level and made the tour an unforgettable experience for us. We learned so much about black and indigenous figures that we never learned about in school textbooks. Highly recommend this tour to anyone.

Walking Freedom Trail is an A+ - Sarah was an excellent guide. although the tour is a 2.5 hour walking tour, Sarah did a good job of timing the stops so that there were opportunities to take a breather along the way. Very informative and a good value as compared to other tours I’ve taken.

Great visit - We had a nice time despite the blustery weather at the start. Rosalie did a fine job guiding us through the streets and navigated us to the different spots while providing us with informative but brief history of each location. The small group size and ease of movement made this tour a distinct advantage over the larger groups we encountered along the trail. She was also good about distinguishing between notable things such as slavery, treatment of Indians and things that we aren't proud of as a part of our history but remain a part nonetheless. Something we learn and grow from. Thanks for the great job Rosalie!
