Additional Information

Visiting the Old North Church is an essential part of the Freedom Trail experience! Established in 1723, it is the oldest remaining church structure in Boston. This church gained global recognition on the night of April 18, 1775, when associates of Paul Revere displayed two lanterns in its steeple. This signaled that the British forces were approaching Lexington and Concord ‘by sea’ via the Charles River. This significant event sparked the American Revolution.

Loved learning, awesome guides, good experience - We came here with our 8 month old, I had booked the tickets online in advance, and they don't care the time, they hold anytime all day. It was a great tour! The audio alone is about 40 mins straight, super fascinating, we didn't quite get through it all, but loved walking around and learning. It's not super stroller friendly, unless you're okay lifting up and down a few stairs, which we did, but would probably have carried her instead had we known.

Like Stepping Back in Time - The Old North Church is a can't-miss stop for any visit to Boston! We loved making our way through the sanctuary while listening to the audio guide. The guide included fascinating stories from the church's 300 years of existence, including the "one if by land, two if by sea" lantern signals and Paul Revere's ride. You can also talk to the church's knowledgeable Educators and ask questions. The whole experience was like stepping back in time! Highly recommend!
