Additional Information

The North End of Boston stands as the city’s oldest inhabited district, and due to the influx of Italian immigrants in the 19th century, it’s often referred to as ‘Little Italy’.

To truly explore this interesting Italian district in Boston, a food tour is recommended; indulge in the culinary delights of North End while learning about its renowned residents.

With numerous top-tier restaurants that offer handcrafted pasta using traditional family recipes handed down from Nonna, and many bakeries that serve the most delicious Italian sweet treats, there isn’t anything you wouldn’t find as you leisurely walk down Hanover street with a local food connoisseur.

You’ll get to taste the most exceptional Italian dishes, from freshly brewed coffee to hot out of the oven pizza. You’ll visit both Moden Pastry and Mike’s Pastry, giving you an opportunity to decide which of the two is Little Italy’s cannoli champion.

Discover famous individualities like Paul Revere and Tony DeMarco, who once traversed these same stone-laid streets.

Best food tour around! - Our tour guide was Tony and he was fantastic! Very informative and he knew a lot about the city, the buildings, the history. We visited hidden shops, bakeries, delis, and restaurants that were buried deep in North End, like they were little jewels awaiting to be discovered. Definitely recommend this tour if you're looking for authentic Italian food while in Boston.

Awesome guide and experience! - Such a fun deep-dive into Boston history outside of the classic freedom trail stops. We tasted delicious pastries and had a great time despite very chilly weather. Would definitely recommend!

Attention Foodies visiting Boston - Cady our tour guide was great. Learned a lot about the history of little Italy and sampled some great good of the locals favorites. If you’re a foodie it’s a must! What I didn’t expect was to learn about the history of Paul Reveres house, Old North church, met a local at Sacred Heart Church, and walked thru an area of the soldiers fund. Highly rec’d this your early in your trip so you can come back and know some places to eat.

FANTASTIC - Our tour guide was so knowledgeable in the area and the history involving it that you couldn’t help but listen at full attention to each and every detail he spoke. Letting us know all the good places to eat as well. Stopping us to get some lemon soda or some cannolis for the tour. Such an amazing tour to experience the North End of Boston!
