Additional Information

Haunted Boston Ghost Tours, LLC holds the title of being the longest-running ghost walking tour in Boston. The business was initiated by Hillary Kidd back in 2005, and she acted as the sole tour guide initially. However, the business flourished swiftly, adding more than 8 tour guides to its roster. The fundamental idea of these ghost tours is to share with visitors the more sinister aspects of Boston’s past, relying heavily on the art of classic storytelling. Maintaining authenticity, the guides do not adorn costumes, feign accents, or lean on theatricality for visitors’ entertainment. As Hillary Kidd, the owner of Haunted Boston Ghost Tours, puts it, theatricality and embellishment aren’t necessary when the storytelling holds substantial quality. The company provides a diverse range of spine-chilling narratives - tales of apparitions, haunted sites, murders, eerie events, and even books crafted from human skin. Essentially, they share an alternate, darker perspective on Boston’s history.

Boston ghost - A lovely evening walking around Boston and great history lesson as well. Nice to hear that the English were not as bad as all Americans say.

Very Interesting Tour - Gabe was an excellent tour guide! We learned some Boston history that we never knew before. Ending the tour at the Omni Parker House was a great way to get warm and get a snack at the bar. Thanks, Gabe!

Hauntingly good fun - What a fun experience! Gabe was our tour guide and he was engaging, funny, and incredibly charming. We didn't see any spirits but we won't hold that against him ;) We would definitely recommend this experience to anyone!

Pre Halloween Ghost Tour - Our tour was on a perfect night...cool and randomly breezy in addition to a full moon! Gabe was a good story teller and kept our full group engaged. I just wish we could have gone into the grave yard!

Interesting history - The history of the burial ground was very interesting. Lived in the Boston area my whole life and didn't know anything about the cemetary on the Boston Common.

Cemetery rats added creep factor - It was a very informative tour, but we were expecting more ghost story/haunted info. Our guide only gave us one good ghost story but did give us a lot of history

Cool Stories - Not a Ghost Tour. - I found this tour to be average. My tour guide was very nice and seemed knowledgeable. However, it was difficult to find the group. The pin that they sent for the meeting site was on the other side of the cemetery from where the group met. Then, we barely walked. The majority of the tour was spent at the cemetery where we started. The stories, all of the stories on the tour, were fascinating, but none felt like ghost/haunting stories. For these tours, I look for a combination of the history mixed with stories of hauntings/ghosts. Boston is one of the oldest cities in the US. It has so much history and with that comes so much death. We could've-should've gotten some great stories. It was just unfortunate.
