Amazing Guide - I loved this guide. It's full of information, kept me from getting lost, and allowed me to go at my own pace. It is a very great value for the price. I also downloaded the Bunker Hill guide once I ended at the Bunker Hill monument. It was a great addition to an already great guide.

Great online city tour – highly recommended! - We have already done many online guided tours in different cities, but we especially liked this one! We downloaded the tour to our 11-year-old daughter’s phone and listened to it together – so she had an exciting task, was actively involved and there was no boredom. The tour is quite extensive: It took us about 6 hours with breaks to eat and take pictures, and we walked about 10 km – without visiting a building from the inside. An all-round successful day with lots of input, exercise and fun! 👍🏻

This will SAVE YOU THOUSANDS!!’ (Well, not really but keep reading) - Loved it! Very informative and easy to use. We originally paid for a $300 guided service but then had a crazy (but turned genius) thought when I found this option. We cancelled the $300 tour, bought a Bose Bluetooth Clip on speaker from Walmart on sale for $50. Connected to our phone and it was like having a virtual guide there with us. Saved us $240!! Paused it when we wanted to take a quick “rabbit trail” off the freedom trail to see something and resumed it automatically when we approached the next point automatically. Highly recommend!!

A beautiful Saturday in Boston learning about how our nation became a free democracy. - Excellent! Almost perfect! Thé narration was informative and engaging. It was easy to navigate. The only problem was that I didn’t realize it was a 45 minute walk back to the beginning, where I parked my car, AFTER I’d walked 5 miles. I was sooooo sore!!

Excellent history, medium quality. - I really enjoyed the tour that I could hear! However, I have an auditory processing disorder which causes me to focus in on audio changes and breakages - so when the tour guide would go from sounding like a man, to a chipmunk, or would have consistent crackling in my headphones that would not go away no matter how many times i reset my phone, headphones, disconnected and reconnected, restarted the app, anything- I really struggled to fully appreciate the tour. I also have a tendency to walk fast, so several times throughout the tour the previous line would be cut off by the geo location overriding which was unfortunate as I really enjoyed a lot of the stories. 7/10 Overall

Freedom Trail – A history journey with small hooks - The Freedom Trail in Boston is undoubtedly a fascinating way to immerse yourself in the history of American independence. The idea of a given route, marked by a red line on the ground, is ingenious and helps immensely with orientation through the city. You simply follow it and you will be guided to the most important historical sites – this makes exploration very pleasant and straightforward. We learned a lot of interesting information about American history and the struggle for independence from England on the trail. It is truly impressive to stand in the places where such crucial events have taken place. However, there were also a few points that we liked less. Although the red line is a great help, it is not always entirely clear. In some places there were sidewalks, which led to short uncertainties. However, it was much more disturbing for us that many of the information points along the trail provided very general information that had no direct connection to the respective location. Sometimes we felt like we were reading facts about the colonial era that could be found anywhere else, rather than experiencing specific details or anecdotes that make the place itself come alive. This took away the effect of the immersion a little bit and sometimes seemed somewhat incoherent. Despite these small criticisms, the Freedom Trail is an absolutely recommendable experience for anyone interested in American history. With some initiative and a willingness to look beyond the more general information, it offers an excellent opportunity to discover Boston and its historical significance.
