Three hours of food and history - definitely recommended - We thoroughly enjoyed our tour with Guido. He was friendly, knowledgeable, combined his love of food with the enthusiasm of a life-long resident of Boston, told us the history of the places we visited and the streets we walked along. Be prepared to enjoy three hours of eating and walking, it's a great way to get to know Boston in a different way.

Good your wrong order of visits. - The address on the voucher and the address in the email were different addresses so that was confusing. Also, the lobster roll was given to us at the end of the day when we had already had dessert and coffee so many of us just took it home the chronological order of that is wrong Carol Was very nice. Thank you.

Delicious food! - In addition to the various tastings the tour included visiting several different Boston sites. There was a lot of walking so if someone has some difficulty walking I wouldn’t suggest it. We had a problem with the meeting place… we were on one end of the Holocaust memorial and the guide was on the other Both sides were at the correct address. The starting location should be described better.

Tour was good, food choices/portions were not what we expected - Our tour guide was great. She had pictures to show along the tour so you could see what Boston looked like then and now. We were a little disappointed that we had to split the lobster roll given the price of the tour. (I am not sure how they handle that if someone is traveling alone.) It was interesting that two of the stops on the tour were coffee shops, but we weren't able to try coffee from either place. The cannoli and lemon ice at each were good though.

We had a couple of issues... - We had a couple of issues with the tour. First, it felt like we backtracked several times. The route was not well planned out, and we passed the same places more than once. We also communicated to our guide that we had a couple of food issues. At the two stops, where we had food issues, we reminded him, but he didn't address it with the restaurant. When we asked the wait staff, they immediately fixed it. Although the group was only eight people, he seemed unaware that the pace he was setting was too fast. More than once, the tour guide had to stop and wait for the slower walkers. He acknowledged that he had only been doing this tour for about a month. We have been doing food tours for years, and all previous tour guides have been able to arrange for alternative foods if we couldn't eat what was being offered. Larry didn't seem to be able to handle this relatively simple request.

Great food but disappointing tour guide - My family and I took this tour with Larry. To start with the positive, the food was fabulous and well-curated. However, although Larry was friendly and welcoming, he didn't spend much time talking during the tour and when he did, he spoke so quietly it was very hard to hear him. It felt like we spent more time walking in silence (and walking by sights that seemed to call out for explanation) than learning anything about the area. We do a food tour in every city we visit (NYC, Portland, OR, Newport, RI, Lisbon, Barcelona, Valencia, and Reykjavik, to name a few). This was not only the most expensive, but the most disappointing. Also, despite advertising in the tour that we'd be seated at the JFK booth in the Union Oyster House, we were not. Larry did take us up to see it, but others were seated there and it felt awkward to stand there and take photos. Overall, we felt we did not get much out of the tour other than delicious food.
