- 3 Rue d’Enghien - Enhance your understanding and appreciation of French wine with this 2-hour wine workshop. Begin with an overview of French wine regions from your professional wine guide. Learn about wine terminology such as ‘terroir’ and ‘appellation’ as you taste wines from regions like Burgundy, Côtes du Rhône, Bordeaux and the Loire Valley. Find out how to decipher a French wine label & learn how to identify a wine’s aromas or flavors, how to interpret the color of a wine. As you taste, you’ll no doubt start to develop – or enhance existing – preferences for these different wine characteristics. At the conclusion of the lesson, you’ll put all this new-found knowledge to use by creating a custom blend of your own wine using two varietals local to Bordeaux – Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. Throughout the workshop, you’ll sample seven different wines and nibble on hors d’oeuvres such as cured meats, cheese, chocolate and fresh bread. Throughout the workshop, your lesson leader is on hand to answer questions and help enhance the experience. As you depart, you’ll get a diploma to remember your educational Bordeaux wine workshop.

Great wine tasting - Great wine tasting. Learnt lots about the diff wines in and around Bordeaux and also red wines around France
The opportunity to make our own ‘blend’ and test our sense of smell was also something I’d not done before and a lot of fun!

The Perfect Bordeaux introduction - This was an absolutely fantastic experience. The host was amazing, the knowledge he shared, his wit and his willingness to answer questions and he often encouraged guest participation. His passion for the business and the wines in Bordeaux shines through. Tasted a number of wines and even had the opportunity to make our own blend. The snacks provided were delicious too. Worth doing if you have a few free hours in Bordeaux and are excited to learn about the wine industry in the region.

A wonderful experience - The wine guide was very knowledgable. There were 12 of us and we all participated in tasting several wines. Also enjoyed the appetizer plate. Highly recommend this tour.

Great way to learn more about the story of Bordeaux wines! - My husband and I were in Bordeaux on a milestone birthday vacation - and planned several things around wine. This was a GREAT way to learn more about the region, the wine, blending, tasting. Very informative in a causal setting with a small group. Our instructor was very knowledgable and able to answer all of our questions - keeping it light and fun. The appetizer plate was an added plus. We would highly recommend!
