Sail away from it all on your two-hour voyage aboard Boothbay Harbor’s schooner to relax and see the Maine coastline. Lighthouses, fishing lobstermen, wildlife, and remote islands accessible only by boat dot the seascape.
Our goal is for you to experience the best two-hour classic sailing trip in the world. We have been working on this experience in Boothbay Harbor for almost 50 years, have a strong local following, and have been featured in national best-selling publications.
We have the best sailing vessel for exploring Boothbay Harbor. We use an onboard engine to get us to the sailing grounds quickly. The size of our vessel is perfect for exploring all the areas of our rocky harbor and seeing life along the Maine coast. There are no obstructions on our deck other than the masts, so you always have a full 360-degree view from every seating position.

Great Sail - Captain Shawn and the crew of Max and Jada were fantastic! Enjoyed the sunset and views, totally calm eve, and visiting with the crew. We hope to return next year and go again.

An amazing sunset. - The staff and captain were amazing. Very knowledgeable and entertaining. The scenery was beautiful, wonderful sunset. I recommend taking the trip. They do have alcohol products for sale on the boat. We went later in the season, so it got cold at sunset. Needed a jacket, but the staff had blankets for us to use.

Beautiful views and smooth sailing - My husband and I had a wonderful time on the Eastwind Schooner sunset cruise. The crew and captain were awesome. The captain was so knowledgeable about history. He also was very experienced and explained some things about sailing to us! More information than I could have imagined. So interesting and entertaining. The drinks were a good addition to the cruise. The crew was very friendly and helpful. We even got blankets since it was chilly. A great experience in every way!

Great views of the coast, smooth sailing! - What a Fantastic cruise! A beautiful late afternoon with perfect wind. The crew Capt Paul, Max, and Simon provided smooth sailing and hospitality. It does get a wee bit chilly out there.

Great way to end our vacation! - We were a party of 6… our last night in Boothbay Harbor and couldn’t have asked for a better way to end our trip. Beautiful evening for a sunset cruise. The crew was awesome. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing time on the water with some gorgeous views.
We had Max and Jada as crew members… both were fantastic as was the captain but I forgot his name (sorry!)… I took lots of pictures and a really great silhouette of Max on the sail… reminded all of us of Peter Pan… see below for picture.

Highly recommend! - We went on the sunset cruise and it was so much fun! The crew was amazing and full of interesting stories. The views were beautiful. If you are in Boothbay harbor definitely don’t miss out on doing this sail!

A must do! - This was a magnificent evening on the water. Captain Shawn and crew - Jada and Megan - were spectacular. Their passion for sailing was contagious. They graciously spent time explaining techniques, encouraged participation, and were the most gracious hosts. I highly recommend this trip! Beautiful evening - great company!
