Sail away from it all on your two-hour voyage aboard Boothbay Harbor’s schooner to relax and see the Maine coastline. Lighthouses, fishing lobstermen, wildlife, and remote islands accessible only by boat dot the seascape.

Our goal is for you to experience the best two-hour classic sailing trip in the world. We have been working on this experience in Boothbay Harbor for almost 50 years, have a strong local following, and have been featured in national, best-selling publications.

We have the best sailing vessel for exploring Boothbay Harbor. We use an onboard engine to get us to the sailing grounds quickly. The size of our vessel is perfect for exploring all the areas of our rocky harbor to see life along the Maine coast. There are no obstructions on our deck other than the masts, so you always have a full 360-degree view from every seating position.

Excellent - Best place in town. Excellent food and accommodations. Beautiful views. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Pets are even allowed

a peaceful afternoon adventure on the ocean - There was not much wind, but the trip was memorable anyway because of the comraderie of the captain and crew and the people on board.

Not just your standard boat trip! - Our first trip on a sailboat and just WOW! Captain Sean was hugely knowledgeable and gave some great stories as we gently meandered around the Bay. Along with his crew, Max and Casey, they made sailing look effortless as they tweaked the sails and showed us how to “see” the wind. Loved being able to get involved - we both had a go at putting up the sails too! 100% a highlight of our road trip and so lucky we managed to get the last sail of the season. Thanks Sean too for the recommendations for the rest of our road trip - hiked up Mount Battie that afternoon (not as easy as sailing!!! 😉)

Eastwind sail - This schooner ride was a blast! Great crew, perfect length, the captain let several guests help raise the sales and steer and he had the boat listing quite a big which was so much fun! Best sailboat ride I’ve had! And if you drink the drinks were much enjoyed. Highly recommend!

Exciting and exhilarating to be out on the water with pro sailors who exuded a calming vibe! - The captain and crew were friendly and laid back. They engaged with everyone on the boat. There were some younger kids on the boat who were fully embraced as crew members. This was a fabulous trip!
