Recommended overall guide to Bologna - Really good walking tour Large group but easy with headphones so you can move away a bit. Great explanation piazza maggiore, entered basilica san Petronio / Archigimmnasio courtyard and upstairs / piazza santo Stefano and the two towers. Highly recommended

Top guide, but no food experience - We, three friends, booked the private food tour for 390 euros. An expensive affair that raises high expectations. We were actually able to try some very tasty ice cream and unique balsamic vinegar. But that was the end of the food experience. We were also able to try a Tigelle with a glass of wine. That was OK, but definitely not a culinary highlight. There were also fried tortellini from a street stall that were almost inedible. The only thing that was great was the tour guide, who gave us a lot of information about Bolognese cuisine and was able to answer our questions competently.
