thumbs up - I had an amazing 'rent a friend" experience. My friend Andre was incredibly knowledgeable and was able to explain and contextualize Columbia history and culture for me making my tour experience very meaningful and fun too! She was flexible as well, asking me about my interest as the day went on and seamlessly moving us from one activity to another based on what I was requesting. I would fully recommend anyone coming to Bogota to use this service.

Excellent way to see Bogota - Booked this tour for when I was on a 2 day stopover in Bogota. It was excellent and I could not fault it in any way. Great communications prior to the tour from Caro at Zebra Fisgona Tours to organise the itinerary and to give me all the information I needed before I met my guide. My ‘local friend’ was Nata, who was excellent and really knowledgeable about the history and sights of the city. She was professional but also friendly and great company to spend the day with, and we were able to tweak the itinerary on the day due to a minor protest going on in the city.
A fantastic tour and experience. An absolute must if visiting Bogota!!

A wonderful morning in La Candelaria - Bogotá had been on my list to visit for a long time, and when doing research I stumbled upon Zebra Fisgona tours on YouTube. The owners, Juani and Aleja, charismatically offered so many wonderful nuggets of information for where to get coffee, food, and the best way to see major sites.
I was delighted to find they offered the ability to hire a local friend to make the most out of my time in the city. My guide, Vivi, was nothing short of spectacular as she gave me an absolutely engaging tour of the Oro Museum and the historical La Candelaria district. Nerding out with Vivi about the history of Colombia, how its geography influenced the indigenous populations' ability to create intricate gold jewelry, and the effects of colonization truly made the experience feel like I was chatting with someone I'd known for years.
I don't think I would've gotten the full experience out of the Oro Museum or La Candelaria if someone as knowledgeable as Vivi wasn't guiding me around. A highlight of the tour was getting to try Chicha for the first time when Vivi walked us down a nearby street, and an older gentleman slid a couple bottles in a bucket down on a rope for us to try. You can't get this experience just by wandering to the area yourself.
I would highly recommend hiring a local friend via Zebra Fisgona tours if you're ever in Bogotá. If not for Vivi, I wouldn't have learned so much about Colombia and I would've completely skipped over so many gems of information and experiences.

1000% recommend. Personalized. - Before our trip to Bogotá, we binge-watched all the Zebra Fisgona YouTube videos and decided to “Rent a Friend” for the first two days of our adventure in Colombia.
First off, Caro, Zebra Fisgona’s travel advisor, was absolutely amazing! She responded to our questions promptly and worked closely with us to design the perfect itinerary.
We were paired with Andre as our local guide, and she met us at our hotel to kick off our exploration of Bogotá. We delved into the city’s rich history, wandered through Chapinero, savored authentic Colombian dishes, enjoyed coffee and chocolate, and wrapped up our day learning how to play Tejo while sipping drinks. It was the ideal way to start our trip!
The next day, Andre once again met us at the hotel. We began with a visit to the Paloquemao Fruit & Flower Market, and wow—what an experience! Sampling all the exotic fruits was definitely a highlight. Afterward, we headed to La Candelaria for a walking tour, where we learned more about the history, explored the Gold Museum, sipped on delicious coffee, and admired the vibrant graffiti.
5 ⭐️ all the way!

Highly recommended if you are visiting Bogota - Highly recommend! Fantastic experience. Juani was so helpful and informative and I felt like she was always trying to give me more that just the standard! I had a fantastic time at paloquemao market and then beyond too as we still had time to jump in a taxi and have my own private tour of Fragmentos anti monument and art space which was amazing. Thanks Juani :)

Best Personalized Tour Imaginable - We utilized the Rent A Friend option for each of the days we were in Bogota and had the pleasure of being paired with Juan and Aleja. They helped us with translation since my Spanish is pretty remedial, and provide insight, perspective, history, and tremendous knowledge about every destination we visited. If you're new to visiting Bogota and the surrounding area, I would highly recommend the tours and services offered. You will not be disappointed, and you'll likely make a friend beyond your stay as we have.

great way to visit Bogota! - so my wife and I went for 6 hrs on Wednesday with Alejandro. We ubered to the starbucks at the mall and walked to the daily pop up flower market in the parking lot outside of the produce market (stop #2). then we did cacao and coffee stops....fantastic! after the tour, we ubered to the Botanical garden; this is easily done by yourself.
The yellow taxi ubers in Bogota are simple. we must have completed 15-20 rides in 2 and half days....we didn't feel unsafe anywhere. Bogota is a big city, treat it like a big city and don't be careless and you will love it.
On Thursday we did 6hrs with Juani. The Candelaria district....you will see from the pictures we didn't miss any 'spots' in the district - we walked the majr portions of all of it.....fantastic. We went to the Gold Museum and then wrapped up the tour playing Tejo!! the tours are flexible - and easily evolve as the day moves on. Juani was very informative on the history and fun to be with for the day. We went to Parque 93 after for dinner and a stroll.....

Very tailored, friendly, engaging - I had the wonderful experience of the “rent a friend” tour. The process began with an exchange of emails to set the time and general plan — which by design is not precise. Juanita met me at the hotel and we discussed briefly the itinerary which we adjusted as we went. For me, I was not much into making decisions, so I left all the details to Juanita, and it was great! I learned so much and got to experience so much. Normally a ton of energy goes into figuring out where to go, how to go, when to go. Partnering with somebody that knows all that already was awesome. But more than that, Juanita was eager to tell the story of Bogotá and Colombia. Juanita was kind and engaging, personally so it was all conversation driven. Her English is perfect, but she was kind enough to speak with me in “slow” Spanish frequently at my request, and she taught me a lot of the cool words and expressions. Lol. After the tour I received a message following up on some questions and recommendations. It is clear introducing people to Bogotá and Colombia is a true calling, not a job, for the ZF team. I recommend highly.

Outstanding experience! - I did the Hire a Local Friend in Bogota tour with Andre and it was absolutely wonderful! Andre and I talked about what I wanted to do at the beginning of the day and then Andre took me to places that I never would have known about. The tour was better than I'd ever thought it would be and I strongly recommend Zebra Fisgona.
