Tirane- Theth

Buni i Bajraktarit - On the journey from Tirana to Theth in northern Albania, there will be a stop at ´´Qafë Thorë´´ or ´´Thora Pass´´. This pass, located in Shkodër, Coastal Albania, stands at an elevation of 1,840 meters. It provides a stunning view from the mountain top, perfect for capturing exciting photographs.

Theth National Park - The tour guide will lead visitors through the charming village of Thethi and accompany them to one of the Balkans’ most significant national parks, Theth National Park. Here, visitors can explore the preserved flora and fauna of this northern Albanian region.

Blue Eye of Theth - The Blue Eye in Theth is a breathtaking waterfall situated in a valley within the Albanian Alps. This spot offers a picturesque setting for stunning photos and a refreshing swim in the Blue Eye’s crystal-clear waters. Transportation from Theth to the Blue Eye is provided by local services, and the cost is not included in the tour price. However, the guide will be with the group throughout the experience. From the drop-off point, there is a 30-minute hike to the Blue Eye. The hike features slopes at the beginning and end, with a flat middle section. While not overly strenuous, the hike requires good physical condition and sure footing.

Theth- Shkoder- Tirana

Fushe -Thethi - In this area, visitors can explore the ´´Church of Thethi´´. Built in 1892, this unique and beautiful church remains on its original foundations. Modest yet striking, the church is deeply connected to the image and history of this picturesque northern Albanian village. Its history is intertwined with the names of various Albanian patriots and clerics who served their country and contributed to national culture.

Fushe -Thethi - Here, visitors can also visit the ´´Reconciliation Tower of Theth´´. This tower, built four centuries ago, was used to resolve over 300 conflicts from the Shale area. The canon of Leke Dukagjini served as a ´´legal text´´ within the tower, guiding the reconciliation of disputing parties. This canon influenced the entire region, and the trust between parties, while respecting the canon, was paramount. Although the tower has not been used for meetings in a century, it remains a relic. The British journalist Edith Durham, a friend and resident of Thethi, visited this culturally and historically significant building.

Shkoder - On the route from Thethi to Tirana, the tour’s final destination, participants will visit Shkodra, one of Albania’s oldest and most captivating cities. Located in northwestern Albania, Shkodra offers a rich blend of lake, river, sea, beach, and history. During the stop in Shkoder, participants can explore the city center and enjoy a brief coffee break if desired.

Marubi National Museum of Photography - Booking this tour provides a fantastic opportunity to visit one of Albania’s most important museums, integral to the nation’s history, culture, heritage, and the art of photography. The National Museum of Photography ‘Marubi’ was established to identify and promote the photographic archive created by the Marubi Dynasty and other Shkodra photographers, representing a unique cultural heritage.
