Snowshoeing is a good way to enjoy the snow if you are not steady on a pair of skis. The snowshoe trip is fully guided, and we’ll provide you with the necessary gear. To maximise your chances of having a great experience, it’s important to dress warmly.
Daytime Snowshoe Trips. This is a great way to enjoy the winter landscape and the Arctic wilderness near Bodø. We’ll have plenty of time to enjoy the nature, and on a guided tour you can immerse yourself in new knowledge about the Norwegian nature.
Arctic Night Snowshoe Hike. A bit adventurous? Then consider a mysterious evening snowshoe hike, which could be your chance to see the Northern Lights. You’ll then get a feeling of a winter night above the Arctic Circle. During the hike, we’ll stop by for a break, make an open fire and enjoy a hot drink.
- Minimum age is 10 years
- Minimum numbers apply. There is a possibility of cancellation after confirmation if there are not enough passengers to meet requirements. In the event of this occurring, you will be offered an alternative or full refund. To run this tour, a minimum of two people must book.

Excellent - A great tour with a fantastic tour guide (Ivar). Snowhoeing at my own pace was lovely, moderate level. Beautiful nature, worths the visit. Ivar was very kind and patient to answer all my questions. He also recommended other things to do/ see in Bodo and Nordland, much appreciated! Communication and booking itself went fast. Highly recommended!

Magical snowshoe hike - An unforgettable experience! I definitely recommend this. Our guide, Marianne, took us for a hike to the most breathtaking valley. Winter wonderland! On our way home, Marianne took a little detour to one of the most beautiful places around Bodø and recommended it for watching the Aurora. Also, thanks to much helpful advice from Ivar, we were able to catch the Aurora there later that night.

A wonderful experience! - A wonderful experience! We booked snowshoeing to discover the landscape around Bodø and everything was perfect. Ivar is an excellent guide and a very nice and sociable person, he showed us some magical places. We recommend this experience!

Fun and gorgeous day with Tinna! - What a wonderful day we had with Tinna our guide! We were blessed with a beautiful sunny day to see the sparkling gorgeous landscape. The hike was exhilarating and Tinna did a great job of gauging the capabilities of the group and challenging us a bit with a route variation which we all really enjoyed. It was a great day and money well spent!

great experience - Ivar's enthusiasm for the outdoors is infectious. You know by his experience and professionalism that you are in safe hands. We met him at the Tourist Information in Bodo and he drove us into the hills where he helped us put on our snowshoes and guided us into the beautiful snowy landscape, We would not have found this walk without a guise. We saw moose tracks but never saw the beast. Ivar takes you at your your pace and does not push you past your capabilities. Excellent experience. We would do it again and recommend it to others.

Great experience and perfect service - Ivar organised a wonderful snowshoeing trip for us. He answered very fast and assisted us, while the cruise ship arrived one day early as we planned.
It was no problem for him to change the trip.
For us it was a great experience! We're very thankful!

Amazing hike! - We arranged it all very spontaneously - within half an hour of starting a chat we sat in Ivar's car and were on our way. We got a nice little tour around the city and visited a viewing point before heading for the hiking spot. Our small group of only 4 people allowed for us to take a lot of decisions about what to do and where to go - very nice :)
We were very lucky with the weather so got to experience some amazing views. The route we took was simply amazing though. Ivar taught us a lot about the Norwegian nature and culture and made it such a great experience! You can really tell how he simply loves what he's doing :)
We couldn't have had a better day in Bodø and would totally contact Ivar again if we visit the city in the future!
Oh to top the day off we went to a rooftop bar just as it got dark to enjoy some more beautiful views with a beer/ tea and talk about our day. Ivar really made us feel welcome in his city and we left feeling like we made a friend - thank you! :)

Wonderful day out, saw sea eagles, reindeer and Saltstraumen - This tour made our short stay in Bodø perfect. We were picked up and dropped in time and at the places we requested. The whole time in between was packed with a great tour into the deep snow. The provided equipment worked perfectly and was in great condition. The group size for the tour was very small, so we got a lot of interaction with our guide Ivar, who was knowledgable and clearly passionate about the area. Along the way we had time to explore the famous Saltstraumen when the tidal current was at its strongest, and saw plenty of wild life.

Wonderful day with the nicest guide in a stunning nature - The snowshoe hike was absolutely amazing and it was definitely the best day of our whole trip through the north of Norway. The guide was really nice and explained a lot about the Norwegian culture and nature. We walked through a stunning, peacefully nature and had a bonfire for a lunch break. Since we were interested in the coastline of Bodø as well, she showed as some beautiful spots after the hike. We all really enjoyed this day and recommend it to everyone!
