Information:
The tour starts from Samaipata. Guests will be picked up from their hotel or the designated meeting point (the main square). From there, they will enjoy a drive of about 45 minutes to 1 hour to reach the trailhead, where the hike commences.
The trail starts with a gentle walk, leading to a rest stop offering the first stunning mountain views.
The hike then becomes steeper and more challenging, taking around 45 minutes (or less for those who relish physical activity). However, upon reaching the summit, visitors are rewarded with a spectacular view of “El Codo de los Andes.”
Here, guests can take photos and further explore the peaks, and with some luck, they might spot condors, hummingbirds, and parrots.
