Highlights
  • Mr.Tu Fishing Game - The crew of Mr. Tu will pick you up from the hotel lobby on Samui and bring you to Bang Rak Pier where you will get useful information about the trip. After a light breakfast, you will cruise aboard the convenient speed boat in less than 90 minutes to Koh Nangyuan.

As soon as you arrive on Nangyuan Island, the first thing you will do is hike to the top of the spectacular viewpoint. It takes around 15 minutes to get to the top and we recommend hitting it as early as possible to avoid the crowds.

Besides the viewpoint, you can spend time at the beach where a plenty of sunbeds and umbrellas are available to rent. At noon the beach is pretty crowded, but the fine white sand and the crystal clear water make up for that a bit.

There are a few separate swimming areas on Koh Nangyuan - the Japanese Reef Garden is certainly one of the most impressive snorkel spot. The water is very shallow at the beginning with fine sand. After that it will be a little bit stony because the underground is full of corals, that’s why the water color is so beautiful.

Continue to Koh Tao where you will enjoy a Thai style lunch in Montra Resort near Mae Haad Pier. Some of the most beautiful beaches dot the east coasts which are difficult to reach on the road. You will make several snorkel stops at Ao Hin Wong and Kluay Thoen Bay (Lighthouse Bay).

With all the exhaustion of the sightseeing, sunbathing and snorkeling, you’ll need to have some refreshments after arrival at the pier on Samui, before returning to your hotel.

An amazing day trip - We had a perfect day trip, the guide were very professionals and they followed us in the snorkeling. They also went underwater with our cameras to help us take pictures and videos of the turtle that we saw in Ko Tao. Guides were always available and ready to help us and give us informations. I definitely recommend this company.

Good trip - Just wish we had more fun time. They told us how things would go down, but didn't make sure everyone was listening or understanding so some people didn't make the most of the time, but we had a blast!

Unforgettable memories with Mr Tu boat trip - I've never been to Thailand before, neither have I tried Snorkel before. We randomly selected this trip due to it having the lowest price at that point in time comparing to the rest of the companies. However, what surprised us was that it actually became the best trip we had during our stay in Thailand. The trip was very organised. We got picked up from our hotel and were treated with delicious local breakfast. We then had the most amazing snorkelling guide on our boat, he's not only friendly and kind but also well experienced. After knowing it's my first time snorkelling, he guided us at all three snorkelling locations, divided into the sea to show us the sea treasures and took us to areas with the most beautiful sea views. I felt very safe during the whole experience. It really created unforgettable memories and I hope more tourists know about them.

Fantastic day out - excellent crew. - An excellent snorkelling trip with 3 chosen locations where one could see coral, coral decay and bleaching (sadly) and plenty of marine life. Pick up was prompt, as was check in. Boat professionally crewed. Ample lunch served - fresh Thai buffet. Excellent masks to use. Fresh water hose down after last swim. Special thanks to Kuwon (English name Troy). He worked very hard all day to ensure that we all had such a memorable trip. I have been on many snorkelling day trips over the last 20 or so years. This has been the best by far. Thank you.

Great boat trip with Mr Tu - We were collected from our hotel in a great a/c bus. Arrival at Mr Tu’s was slick and easy. Breakfast snacks were on offer. Had an excellent day visiting islands, snorkelling, kayaking. Lunch was lovely in a stunning location, drinks of water & cans of Fanta were on offer all day! Would highly recommend, great value for money. Highly recommend bringing beach shoes for this trip.

Friendly crew - They picked us up from our hotel in a air conditioned van, not a bad journey to the pier. Breakfast was fruit, doughnuts, toast and coffee. We had a safety talk before we boarded that was in English and Chinese. There was a lot of people on the speedboat but that was to be expected on a trip like this. The snorkeling was average as there wasn’t that many fish and to see the coral so badly damaged at the last stop was heartbreaking. The boat trip was pretty long but also that was also to be expected. The crew were friendly and lunch was pretty good, a masman curry with fried rice and fruit and ice cream. Pretty crowded with all the people but again that was expected. Probably wouldn’t go again and isn’t a must do trip but it’s nature.

Boat ride from hell - We went on the Koh Tao trip by speedboat on December 8, 2022. The boat looked in a state of disrepair (so common in Thailand). The seas were calm, but the boat got thrashed about as if we were in huge waves, but there were no waves, just a rolling ocean surface. The boat slammed down as if it was dropped onto concrete, over and over. Probably the wrong boat for the intended purpose. Boat ride was rough or worse. The crew, lunch, swimming and snorkeling was good. I don’t recommend this trip.

Be wary - We arrived at the pier to board and were told that since we were over 65 we would not have insurance and wanted us to sign a waiver form or not be allowed to board. We refused and were then told we would only have half coverage if we went. Totally unprofessional as no mention of this is on any of their brochures or on their website. The snorkeling was the worst I have ever experienced. Hundreds of people in an area the size of a swimming pool with visibility of less than one metre with virtually nothing to see. The walks to viewpoints were lovely but all food provided was very ordinary (a tepid green curry for lunch). Could not recommend this trip to anyone.
