Great fun - Our family of four had a great time at Koh Tao. Snorkelling was awesome and the boat crew were super helpful.

Amazing day visiting tropical islands and crystal clear waters - This trip is a wonderful way to see the gorgeous tropical islands. The trip is quite long (90 mins) on a fast speedboat but we were lucky and got a seat upfront and the weather was very calm so no choppy seas. First stop Koh Toa for snorkelling in two locations off the boat. Very safe and enjoyable and my teens who were not keen to do it, happily got it with us and saw the fish. Next stop is lunch at a low key/back packer resort. Good basicThai food and a chance to walk along the white sandy beach and. Final stop was Koh Nangyuan which was heaven! The whitest sand, crystal clear waters and a really cool little bar for snacks and drinks. We also snorkelled here off the beach and had a couple of hours to relax and enjoy this special island. We all really enjoyed this trip. It’s a long day but so well worth it. Insea Speedboat staff were lovely and helpful and the boats large, taking about 35 people, but did not feel overly full or squashed. Highly recommend this very memorable trip if you are on Koh Samui.

Lovely day, journey questionable - I enjoyed the day out to beautiful Koh Tao and the snorkelling in various spots. The lunch was very tasty and in a delightful spot. The company were good overall, although once at the port it took a long time to get onboard the boat. There was also a long delay to leave Koh Nangyan and we were standing in the heat of the sun without any shade. The journey to and from the islands is something to consider as even though the sea looked calm it was quite bumpy and a few people were sick on the boat. If you are not sure about sea travel I’d avoid these trips. It’s an hour and a half one way and you do feel like you’re on a fairground ride most of the time!

It’s ok, but it’s a long way and I’m not sure it’s worth it. - I was a little disappointed by this trip - whilst all went to plan with no hitches, there isn’t much to get excited about other than the beauty of Koh Nangyuan (if you can look past the tourists swarming all over it!) and our guides weren’t particularly charismatic and didn’t have much interest in answering any queries at all. Snorkelling was very average, lunch was ok but not great and the boat trip there and back takes a long time and there was a very little room as our boat was jam packed. You are below deck so can’t see much so the hour and a half journey goes by very slowly! If you know what to expect and are happy with the setup then it’s a decent day, but don’t go just for the snorkelling ……. you’ll be disappointed.

Nice day but with poor consideration for the environment - The staff were very friendly and the trip was great. Lunch was also a good standard. The thing that let the day down was the vast overuse use of plastic bottles. Some of the coral is clearly suffering (as we could see from the snorkelling). Trip organisers like this must take responsibility for not contributing to this. One of the islands (Koh Nangyuan) we visited bans plastic bottles, so the staff were telling us to hide them and leave them on the boats. This felt like an uncomfortable irony. Surely filtered water bucket/dispenser is just as easy and so much better for the planet.

Stay away from this scam. - This tour is a scam. They advertise more than 4 stops for snorkeling at different spots on the itinerary, but in reality we stopped just in one spot and stayed there for a short while. The snorkeling equipment provided was old, the masks were very scratched and the glass was in such a bad condition that it was hard to see anything. The snorkeling equipment was also not sterile, we did other tours in Thailand in which the mouth piece for the snorkel was provided sealed in a bag to prove that it was clean and sterile, but this company clearly did not care and provided just old, dirty and malfunctioning equipment.

Worst excursion in Thailand - So after careful thought, I booked this trip as I wanted to combine island trip with snorkeling. After being henpacked in to a speed boat, the nightmare began. Passengers throwing up getting soaked all the way for a full 90 minutes of pure torture. I expected it to be a bit bumpy but nothing like what I experienced and most people were saying the same. This trip needs to come with a warning, if anyone has any disc problems or bad back then avoid this trip! Apart from that the crew were jumping around like idiots, non informative and generally lacked in their people skills. Then they had the check to go around asking for tips waving a bucket under ur nose looking tips, I think not!
