Many people have the dream to become a mermaid and we understand that, so that is why we came up with our Turn into a Mermaid Experience and Photoshoot.

We get you outfitted up in a mermaid tail and help get you ready with accessories such as our starfish hair clip and more. Your mermaid makeover gets you ready to produce a professional mermaid photo that you will remember for years to come.

You will also get to enjoy time in our retail store and learning grotto that includes an indoor play area and educational displays.

Fording Island Road

Indoor beach is located in the Mermaid of Hilton Head Store & Learning Grotto at the Tanger 2 Outlets in Bluffton. The address is 1414 Fording Island Rd, Suite E180, Bluffton, SC 29910 (next to H&M). Please arrive 5 minutes prior to your shoot. Please make sure you wear your favorite Swimsuit.

So cute - Such a cute and fun experience for my daughter. We loved watching her turn into a mermaid and the photographer was so kind and patient with my daughter.

Mermazing! - This was absolutely one of the best part of our HHI trip. My 7 year old daughter did the indoor mermaid shoot. They had her choose between two different color tails, and they offered a matching top, or we could stick with what we brought. We would have liked the outdoor one on the beach, but the price was too much. The indoor shoot was wonderful. Real sand on the set, and lots of fun props. The photographer, Alana, was fabulous. She was patient with my daughter, and knew what she was doing. The photos are wonderful. My daughter loved every bit of it, she asked the next day if we could go back and do it again. As for me, the mom, being just a bystander, I had a ton of fun too just watching. If you have a gal in your life who would love to be a mermaid, this is a great idea!

Most fun anad amazing time ever - If I could give this experience 10 stars, I would. It was truly that amazing. The staff at Mermaid of Hilton Head made my dreams come true of being a mermaid for a night. They made me feel so comfortable and happy. I couldn't have asked for a better experience! If you are looking for a fun activity to do with friends or siblings or by yourself or for your children, this is the thing to do! The staff was incredibly knowledgeable and clearly knew exactly what to do to make us feel like we had their complete focus and attention. I usually don't like taking photos because they never come out how I want, but I could not be happier than I am with these pictures! I highly highly highly recommend this experience to anyone!!! We will definitely do it again!

Magical Mermaid experience - This was so much fun! We got to see dolphins on our way to see Mermaid Nina! It was educating and fun! The photoshoot was so cute. The tails are so pretty, definitely worth buying one of your own to keep and you get to keep a starfish clip too!
