Amazing, Life Changing & Beautiful! Do it!!! - What an amazing experience! I could have stayed in for an hours. I was really not cold at all in the wetsuit. I really don’t think someone would need to get the dry suites but that’s your call. If you keep your body moving it will be very fun and comfortable. There is a very gentle current that moves you along so you can’t just stay in one place easily. I didn't know that before. This was my first time free diving. It was fun but I wish I could have been able to swim down a lot more. It was quite a challenge to swim down. My instructor tried to help but it was hard. The dive instructor said after that maybe I should have had the shorter flippers. Just a tip for anyone thinking of doing this. I my opinion I feel it would have been a lot easier to go without any flippers but I am not an expert. I do swim a lot but not in very deep water so do what you want with that info. The instructors were super nice and funny. (The owner reminds me of Wim Hof and the young guy who hates shoes 😁). If you guys are reading this, thanks for an amazing time. If you are debating going or not, Just do it!!! I would 1000000% go again with them. Rent or take a GoPro camera it was definitely worth it. Thanks for an amazing time.

A truly amazing experience - I had seen people snorkelling at the Silfra Fissure on a travel programme so when I booked a trip to Iceland I knew I wanted to do it. Thanks to the friend I went with I was persuaded to use freedive Iceland so we could wear wetsuits instead of drysuits which was absolutely the right decision. It was a wet and grey day but we were ushered in to a heated van to get changed in to diving wetsuits, made very easy with the use of a mix of hair conditioner and water! We walked across to the entry site and joined a queue behind people in drysuits and waited at which point I was slightly concerned. However once we were in the water everybody else had disappeared and there were just the four of us in our group. The two of us had paid for longer fins and weight belts which meant we could dive below the surface and I would recommend this. It was a magical place, the water was crystal clear and diving down you could touch both tectonic plates. We spent about 45minutes in the water and despite the very cold water were comfortably warm in the wetsuits. Hot drinks were provided after we had changed back in the heated van. An amazing experience which I would highly recommend and I would go again if I return to Iceland.

Great guides - We had two amazing guides. Highly recommend this company. As a scuba diver and water enthusiast nothing compares to this experience. It’s a bucket list trip for sure. Make sure you get a Weight belt and long flippers. If you know how to go deep down it’s it must have them. Also I would not do a dry suit do a wet suit. You are not cold.

- Unbelievable experience. Diving with the wetsuit makes all the difference. Sign up for the freedive if you can for an even better time

Flabbergasted - Had the opportunity to dive only with the instructor bjarni, us being quite young and Silfra being for just the two of us I guess we both had a great time. At least I did. Also I did it on a day when the weather was good so it was all clear and a beautiful vibrant blue arose from the canyon.

Excellent experience - Coach Bjarni was very friendly and lovely 😊 He clearly explained the dive spots, gave some tips on how to spend time in the water and showed us great spots to take photos and videos! I really enjoyed the dive and will be back next time to dive with Bjarni! 😁

Incredible Experience! Highly recommend!! - From the first email to goodbyes after the tour, this was such an amazing company! I went with my sister and we loved our experience! The guide was kind, friendly and informative. He (Bjarni) was extremely helpful with all the gear and getting us through the tour. I also exchanged several emails with the company beforehand and they always got back to be in great time and with helpful info. The tour itself is stunning! The wetsuits, gloves, socks and hood kept me warm through the cold water. Very manageable and beautiful sites! Highly recommend

Highly recommend Freedive Iceland and the Silfra experience - My sister and I did the freedive at Silfra. It was a great experience. The water was chilly but you wear a 7mm wetsuit which keeps you comfortable. The cold water is only on your face but it is tolerable, you don't feel uncomfortable at all. Silfra is stunning. The water changes from a brownish hue to blue to green and it is clear. And even though there is no sea life, there is much to look at. The guys from Freedive were very helpful in helping us get ready and into properly fitting gear. They were also very entertaining. I highly recommend using them for this experience. My advice to anyone who wants to do this is to figure out how much weight you need to go deeper into the water in a 7mm wetsuit. It will make a big difference being properly weighted and the first meter down takes some effort.

Choose this tour over all the others - We are freedivers so we specially choose this tour - and we are glad we did. Even if you’ve never freedived, go with Freedive Iceland. The wetsuits were warm and seemed so much more comfortable than the drysuits everyone else had on. Plus, we were able to dive down and look around whenever we wanted. Our guide was calm and professional and sent us a link with pics a few days later. It was so great that we almost booked again for later in our trip. It was a highlight of our week in Iceland.

Freediving at 2°C it's just an incredible adventure! - I found this company while booking my tour through DIVE.IS. Freedive Iceland offers an unforgettable experience in the waters of Silfra, between two tectonic plates. Our guide was incredibly kind and attentive, ensuring that the entire group felt comfortable and safe during the freediving session. The location is simply stunning; the water visibility is amazing, allowing you to explore the cracks in a unique way. I highly recommend freediving with them. Fortunately, we had a sunny day, which allowed us to enjoy both the time in the water and walking alongside the tectonic plates at Thingvellir.
