Frequently referred to as a ‘Picture of Heaven’, the alpine holiday destination, Bled, will captivate you with its jade-green lake, mythical island, and majestic castle perched atop a craggy cliff. You’ll get the opportunity to tour the castle and hitch a ride on the petite vessel called ‘pletna’ to pay a visit to the miniature island in the heart of the lake.

Lake Bled, Castle and island - Lake Bled is very picturesque. Amazing views from the castle. Included with the castle visit are: an old printing press, a Chapel, a museum and a free Slovenian cream cake.

A beautiful place to... - A beautiful place to visit. Well organised excursion and as long as it should. The very polite lady driver provided a lot of interesting info about Slovenia's past and useful tips for travelers.

Brilliant tour of a beautiful part of the world - Great trip. Lake Bled was absolutely beautiful. Our guide Micha (hope I’ve spelt that right) was very knowledgable and friendly, and extremely helpful at the parts of the tour where an extra charge was needed. He stepped right in to handle it for us and nab us a freebie of a delicious cream cake at the castle. Very happy and we would recommend this trip to anyone thinking of visiting the lake. It’s well worth your time to see.

A most pleasant afternoon in Lake Bled - Even though it was a rainy foggy day, we were able to make this a memorable experience, and our guides were able to accommodate due to the weather and help us enjoy the experience as much as possible, showing us the lake from many different points along the road, and providing lots of useful and fun information about the area and Slovenia in general. Tibor Baijee was our guide, he and his partner were very eager to share as much as possible about the culture and history of Slovenia, in a fun (not boring) way. They also provided us with great information on food and restaurants that we could use after the tour was over.

Beautiful lake - A very beautiful lake with gorgeous scenery. We paid extra to do the castle which was pretty and had good views and also the boats which are hand rowed across the lake to the island. Overall it was a very relaxing and enjoyable excursion and the tour guide was extremely friendly and knowledgeable.

Beautiful Views of Lake Bled - Lake Bled is beautiful and definitely worth a visit. The tour itself left on time and brought us to the little village where you can pay to board a little boat to go to the island (you have to pay extra to go inside of the church on the island, 12euro). The boat fee was 20euro cash only not included in the tour fee. We decided to take a walk around the lake instead and really enjoyed the views of the church and castle while others on our tour went to the island. We then went to the castle, 18euro per person not included in the tour, and had a little over an hour to walk around. The views are wonderful and when you buy the castle ticket from the tour guide you get a slice of cream cake included - the dessert is very delicious. I wish the castle was included in the tour ticket price because if you don't pay to go to the island or pay to go into the castle, you are paying a lot of money just to go out to Lake Bled. You could easily get a public bus for less than 10euro roundtrip to Lake Bled and walk around at your own pace. This tour is probably better in summer months when the area is more crowded and you want to have transportation scheduled.
