Great Tour an Well Worth the Money - My gown daughter sent me this and asked that the two of us do the tour, so of course I jumped at the chance. We both had a great time and really loved that fact that we weren't rushed, we were filled with a lot of great information that I was not aware of. My daughter really loved the tour and Wolfgang was a walking encyclopedia of information about Birmingham and the different haunts around town. I would say it definitely opened my eyes to events and history in Birmingham that I never knew before. Highly recommend!

Recommend This - We were able to take this tour more than a year after covid shut down everything. Wolfgang Poe was our guide and it ended up with my wife and I being the only ones on this tour. Wolfgang is very entertaining and an encyclopedia of knowledge about all things Birmingham. We originally booked the Historic Highlights Tour but was also intrigued by the ghost tour and were glad we were able to take this tour. We were able to hear a lot about the founding of Birmingham and hear interesting stories about interesting places like Oak Hill Cemetery, Arlington, the Theater District, Sloss Furnace. Wolfgang took us to a forgotten cemetery and we were able to observe crypts and graves in Oak Hill Cemetery including the grave of a Titanic survivor.

Viator sold tickets to something that wasn't operating - I don't want to leave a bad review for the ghost tour. The fact was that the driving tour was on hiatus and viator did not do their do diligence and check that the tour was not running. This is a review of viator!!! I am currently working on getting a refund for a tour that was not available! Luckily I checked the tours website and saw that it wasn't running before we drove down for the tour! So, I did not give a bad review here because the tour I'm sure is spectacular when it's running. Viator on the other hand gets no stars since they did not even check to see that the tour was running before selling tickets to it!!!

Tour was cancelled - Unfortunately the tour I scheduled was cancelled and I was unable to reschedule, so I can not rate the tour.

BIRMINGHAM GHOST WALKING TOUR - Unfortunately, I was notified a couple of hours prior to my tour that the driving tour was canceled due to everyone other than me canceling. I had really wanted to experience the tour with Wolfgang since so many of the great reviews said he was awesome. I did do their walking tour that evening instead. The walk was nice and some of the historical information was good. Presentation by the tour guide, who was a young woman, was not what I was expecting and honestly it detracted from the quality of the tour. The guide was obviously not comfortable being improvisational and seemed very scripted with her presentation. She also started banging on metal panels of one building in an effort to create a startle response. The real detractor was when a foam axe was brought out from behind a panel and she threw it at one of the other people on the tour. It just was not what I was looking for as I had gone on many ghost tours in many different cities. Jump scares are for haunted house attractions and not a ghost walking tour. A guide who is a good story teller can create enough atmosphere and intrigue without resorting to fake weapons and loud noise making. I did like some of the stories and coincidentally ended up seeing on a tv show some of the very stories that were mentioned.

Tour guide cancelled on us day of scheduled tour no refund received - Guide canceled on us and asked to reschedule to another day. We couldn’t do that as we were leaving town. Asked for a refund and never received it.
