Fun way to see the sights - Great way to see it the Three Cities. Really good commentary and GPS guidance. When it went wrong the manager came out to set us back on the right road. Plenty of time to stop to enjoy the view or a drink.

Rolling through the Three Cities - The trip was well organised and fun. We met at the office where we completed the paperwork and took our briefing. The briefing was informative but fun and we were given a run through on the vehicles. The tour was then self drive and took us all around the three cities. We were told we would go wrong (and we did) but the team were there to support us over the vehicles radio system. I would recommend this way of seeing the three cities and thoroughly recommend Rolling Geeks.

Fast and Furious?!! - A sense of humour very much required. Got lost twice, on one occasion we ended up at a steep flight of stone stairs and found ourselves saying to each other ‘I think we can make it!’. The Italian job rebranded the Maltese job! Do stop and look around, it’s such a well planned route. We loved it!

GREAT ADVENTURE - We had had this recommended by a friend with a holiday home in Valletta who told us it was great fun and he wasn't wrong. We saw far more of the 3 cities area than we would if we had just walked and it was all done in 2.5 - 3 hours too from the comfort of a golf buggy. The office were on hand when we went the wrong way with calls from them to correct us and it was easy to catch a water taxi from Valetta port from the cruise ship and get over to the office for a Thorough hand over.

Fun but challenging due to satnav failures - Great idea, and quite fun, but little time to get off and explore and the navigation system was a little challenging. The narration and sat nav were not synced very well and the sat nav got confused several times. It was a great way to get our bearings and decide which places we wanted to come and see later in more detail on foot.

It’s a Golf Cart not an E-Car! - The title infers an electric car - it’s not - it’s a painfully slow golf cart that will be sure to clog traffic wherever it goes. Our equipment didn’t work without reboots and confusion which just took away from what could have been enjoyable. As long as you are aware of these issues you should have a decent time. We have it 3 stars for the equipment and the car assigned.

Glad we did it but could be better - Excellent idea, and certainly an experience, but the navigation was challenging and the timescale a little hectic. It was a good opportunity to get an idea of the layout of the three cities, for a return visit in the future, but we concentrated so much on navigating and driving that we didn’t really see much of the sights. The commentary was not very well synchronised with the navigation either.

Lack of driving time became stressful - Having read the positive reviews, we were looking forward to doing this tour. We arrived in good time before our allocated slot, and thought we would set off at the time we booked for a 2.5 hours tour (assuming it is 2.5 hours driving, perhaps I'm wrong?). We didn't drive away until 30-35 minutes after (I double checked before doing the review with a photo taken nearer that time). The two staff available were busy booking in a large group that hadn't pre-booked, so the focus was on them. We waited 20-30 minutes to be seen and left at the same time as the others, at this point had been sat in the office for 45 minutes before we left on our tour. The owner appeared and seemed to take control so we all had cars. He was a friendly guy and very helpful at the end! The vehicle is a good size and clean. Being golf buggies, they are slow so expect a build up of traffic and can be uncomfortable at times due to the lack of suspension (beware going over bumps, make sure you approach slowly!). It's advised regular stops are needed for the GPS to catch up and to be able to enjoy the tour to hear the information of the focal points. The views are lovely. They were good at keeping in contact and providing help when needed as they track your location - seems a regular occurrence for most on here! We feel the delay setting off had an impact on our experience, as we were conscious we had 2 hours to return, so could not stop as often as hoped (which did reflect in the GPS being a bit off at times). We had a delay, as some streets were blocked on our return. We had to take a detour through the narrow streets, where the owner was helpful in meeting us, so he could clear the street and get us back on track (which was no fault of ours or theirs, just bad timing). Overall, we had some laughs, but plenty of stress too and it was a relief when it was over. Perhaps others who have the full 2.5 hours will find it better and worthy of a 5* experience. Unfortunately, for this reason, I can only give a 3*.

Bad rental experience in Malta - I rented a car online for 2 weeks prepaid. The order was confirmed with an email, stating to bring a valid driver's licence and a valid credit card. When I went to pick up the car I provided a valid driver's licence and a valid credit card. After the agent reviewed my driver's licence (U.S. driver's licence), the agent stated that he needed an International Driver's Licence because Malta Transport requires non EU citizens to provide an IDL. Long story short they refused to give me the and the prepaid amount. I emailed Malta Transport to verify the claim made that I needed an Internation Driver's Licence and the response was that the Malta Transport states that non EU citizens can use their valid driver's licence up to 12 months from date of entry. I presented this to Sixt and the still refused to refund me, they stated that the case was closed even after solid evidence. I then filed a police report ax well and charged them with fraud. Furthermore I also filed a dispute with my credit card company. My case is currently still pending with the police and credit card company. I am livid about this issue. I have been renting cars from Sixt for a long period of time and never had an issue. They put me through hell with their unresponsiveness and arrogance...disgraceful... I was able to rent a car from another company with same credentials same day with no issues.
