Uluguru Mountains - You will be picked up early in the morning at 7:30am from the hotel around Morogoro town then drive to Tegetero village where you will leave a car and start walking in the forest. You will camp in the forest

Tegetero Forest to Morogoro Town

Uluguru Mountains - After breakfast 7:00am you keep walking in the forest for birdwatching and enjoying the nice plants, flowers and reptilies available in the forest. At 1:00pm you walk back to your camp site for lunch, after lunch you walk back to catch your car then drive back to Morogoro.

In the Tegetero Forest, you’ll have the chance to spot the unique Uluguru Bush-shrikes, Allanblackia uluguruensis, and saintpaulia species - all exclusive to the Uluguru Mountains. For thrill-seekers, an 8-hour Tegetero trail awaits. It begins in Morogoro town and passes through the forest, culminating at the Tegetero Mission. This path takes you direct to the habitat of the elusive Uluguru Bush-shirkers and the African violet (Saintpaulia species). You can either trek or drive to Kinole village from Tegetero Mission. However, it’s important to note that the track leading from Tegetero to Kinole is suited only for seasoned off-road motorists and 4-WD vehicles.
