The Basque region is beautiful and full of history. - On the first stop, the hiking trails are beautiful. Some are challenging, Wear good shoes for this activity. If you plan to go the 200+ stairs to see the church, bring a new shirt as you will be very sweaty. The other towns visited are interesting and explain the history of the basque region. This tour was well worth the price. Excellent bus driver in an immaculate, comfortable bus and the tour guide, Aman, was terrific.

Amazing experience - The tour was perfect, I don't have anything else to add. There are some really lovely and varied places to visit, and the views are breathtaking. It's definitely worth a visit. Aman, our guide, was great. He explained everything to us in a timely manner, both the practical stuff and the cultural issues that came with the places we saw. I should also mention Eskander (but I'm not 100% sureis the correct name), our driver. He was really reliable, punctual and very precise throughout the tour.

Great tour. Adrian... - Great tour. Adrian explained very well and open to any questions. He made the trip entertaining and even if it was a long one didn't feel like it was. Cristian was very good driving and very helpful and nice too.

A very worthwhile day out - It was a pleasure to meet Aman(?). He was a very pleasant young man as well as a fantastic guide on this day. I take my hat off to him moving between speaking Spanish to English back to Spanish, when explaining a range of topics in great detail. I recommend this tour for a very worthwhile day out. San Sebastián is a glorious place to visit.

Beautiful places, poor audio - The stops on the tour were fantastic. The group arrived at Gatzelugatxe before the crowds which was great. It's a steep walk so be prepared. The villages visited were nice, however it was very difficult to hear the tour guide. An audio system would be very helpful. This tour also involves about 6 miles / 10 km of walking.

Good itinerary, but … - The itinerary is good, the pacing is fine, but if you’re an English speaker you won’t get much education out of this tour. My guide presented lots of information in Spanish and then provided a terse summary in English. You have to stand around while he talks on and on, unintelligibly, then have minimal information provided- and no way to ask questions. I took lots of pictures of things, hoping to research everything later. For example, in Guernica: great explanation about the picasso mural but zero information about why we were looking (at a distance) of a dead tree stump in a place of honor. Or where the current tree-of-honor is located. Or what campus the dead tree stump is located on (government building? Museum? Dunno.). When we had our free time, what was the public square? Where were the notable buildings around the square?

Day tour - The tiny island of San Juan is such a drawcard. Aman the guide who travelled with us talked far too much. I had a headache by the time we arrived in San Sebastian. The walking tour of San Sebastian with Jose was very informative and I would have liked to hear more of its history. Free time was rather long.

Give this a swerve - Firstly, if you have a mobility issue or use a stick to get around. Do not book. We booked this tour because it felt it would be a nice experience. How wrong were we. So the trip was booked. English speaking guide Danny. It was a full coach, only 15 people were English speaking. The others all Spaniards. So there is the first problem. Why didn’t they book the Spanish speaking guide tour? It was an option! The guide would start off in Spanish, then English. Not so much of a problem, but if he was pointing something out on route. By the time he started speaking English, it was too late. We had gone past what he was talking about, so pointless. The first stop was the dragon island that appeared in series 7 of game of thrones. We knew there were 240+ steps to reach the top, but we weren’t told that we had to hike nearly 40 minutes to 1 hour to get there, on loose gravel with steep inclines. The route back was worse. Steep gradients that took 30/40 minutes. Luckily it wasn’t raining, it could have been so more worse. On the trip were taken to different villages. Yes an explanation was given. You guessed it, in Spanish first. It felt like I was wasting my time, having to listen to a full explanation in Spanish, then a short snippet in English. By this time I had zoned out and not interested. The last stop was the wine tasting. Worst vineyard tour ever and I’ve done a few around the world. We weren’t shown the process of how the grapes were collected to how the wine was made. Just put in a room and a guide gave an explanation, again in Spanish first, then a broken English shorter version. We were give a glass of the local wine to try and that was it!!!! Where were the other wines that they produce, so we could compare? It said up to 11€ wine included. We were offered one miserable glass. A bottle to buy was 12€. So this wine tasting tour is misleading. It was a taste of one wine tour. So here are the main problems. 1. If it says English guide, keep it English only. 2. Warn people that they have to hike to attractions down and up very steep inclines. 3. Wine tour was a joke.
