Learn about local cuisine! - Mikel's lessons were very easy to understand and I learned some delicious recipes. The people I took lessons with were very friendly and had a great time.

Fun, hands on cooking class with lots of food and wine! - Fun class with Mikel. Very experienced chef who is happy to share his knowledge. The wine and food were plentiful. We left very full. Got to cook everything from pintxos to fish stew to steak. Hands on class with a small group, so got to know everyone which contributed to the fun.

A lovely activity to do in Bilbao, highly recommend - A really fun and immersive activity. The vibe was great, the chef was professional and friendly, the food was fantastic. I was a solo traveller and it was a relaxing yet energising and cosy experience, a good change of pace after sight-seeing and bustling bars.

An exciting cooking class led by an exceptionally charismatic chef - We had an amazing instructive and inclusive experience with Chef Mikel. We learned several new dishes that are local to the area which used local ingredients and paired beautifully with local wines and cider. I felt like my cooking skills greatly improved within the one session for many reasons. Chef Mikel was very friendly, knowledgeable, funny, and helpful, as he gave us a list of things to do and see in Bilbao while we are here. It felt like we made friends with him instantly! The cooking class organisers were kindly accommodating of our schedule, being able to put on the cooking class for just the two of us during an extremely busy week in the city. We came away certain that we will definitely try out the recipes at home using the techniques and method taught during the class. Overall, we would both highly recommend trying this experience. We came away extremely happy with lots to talk about and lots to go and do. You will not regret it:)

Engaging, knowledgeable, super fun - We loved this class. Our instructor has a ton of Michelin-star experience. He was very friendly, knowledgeable and engaging and we learned a lot of great techniques as well as some great cultural history behind the dishes we made. Highly recommend.

Delicious cooking class with an experienced, friendly chef - Wonderful cooking experience with Chef Mikel at Gastronomía Bilbao. He was warm, friendly, and gave us excellent instruction for a delicious menu of Basque specialties. A perfect mix of learning and enjoyment! Would recommend highly.

Fantastic experience - Mikel was an enthusiastic and engaging host right from the get go! Over the three hours we made 5 dishes and tried many wines and some cider and had a fantastic experience all round. Well worth the price and a must do when in bilbao!
