Highlights
  • Heart Creek Trail Head - After meeting your guides and other participants at the staging area in the Heart Creek Trail parking lot, a 30 - 45 min hike will bring you to the top of both the Canyon sections, and the start of your canyon adventure. Everyone suits up and in order to ensure safety your guides will go thru a mandatory rappel and rope safety clinic. There are a total of 5 rappels, interspersed with some scrambling and hiking. The upper canyon is the easier section and can be dry later on in the summer. This gives everyone the opportunity to ease into the rappelling. Fun Time!!! - We had a great time on our canyoning trip with Chris! He was very helpful and patient with us. It was just our family of 4 and the weather was perfect. The hike in to the canyon was a little more than we bargained for but we made it fine (it was a breeze for our twenty something daughters of course). The wet suits were much appreciated as the temperature dropped as you got higher up in the canyon and the water was VERY cold. We all had hiking boots on which was helpful but be prepared for them to be soaked as you will be landing/sliding in to waist deep water. Definitely a fun bucket list activity!

Fantastic canyoning day! - We had a great time canyoning at heart creek! Our guide, Pablo, was absolutely fantastic. He gave us really clear instructions and guidance and told us so much about the trails/canyon around us throughout the day. The canyoning was great fun and varied and we had the opportunity to practice away from the canyons before starting, which was super helpful. The views and surrounding area are also wonderful! If you are in Canmore/nearby, definitely consider canyoning! We had never done canyoning before this activity. Would definitely go again!

MUST DO in Canmore - This was an absolute highlight! Pablo is not only a super friendly and patient guide, but he also gave us an enormous amount of knowledge about the surrounding nature and his experiences. And of course the rappelling and sliding down was great fun!

"Road" less traveled and worth every minute - We knew very little about canyoneering going in. The guide was awesome and helped us through every repel including an amazing waterfall. We were able to take all the time we needed and we always felt safe. Best day ever!

It’s worth it. Just sign up - It was a fun adventure. Never rappelled before. I really enjoyed it. The hike in is steep in a few places. But you gotta go up so you can rappel down. Zack was awesome and shared so much knowledge with us. Definitely would recommend

Simply unforgettable! - Loved it! My wife and I had only repelled once before (10+ yrs ago) and were nervous/excited to do it again. Our guide, Alex, was a terrific teacher. He put us at ease with his fun but professional approach to each increasingly difficult reppeling height. Needless to say, the views were great, and our last (and tallest) descent was beside a waterfall and simply unforgettable! Go for it, you wont regret it!

AMAZING experience - This was an AMAZING experience. Our guide was incredible. The hike in and canyoning out was beautiful. Perfect trip for first time canyoning/rappelling, even if you are afraid of heights. I always felt completely comfortable with the knowledge of my guide. This is a trip you will not forget and highly recommend it!

Excellent Guide and Exciting Day - Zack was great and was an incredible guide. We had an exciting and excellent day leaning how to rappel and navigate the canyon. Loved the last high descent near the waterfall. Highly recommended and would go again in a heartbeat.
