Highlights
  • Heavenly Hawaiian Kona Coffee Farm Tours & Konalani Coffee Bar - Visit an award winning 100% Kona Coffee Farm, with exclusive access, tasting and tour.
  • Punalu’u Black Sand beach - Have you ever seen a beach with black sand? Because of constant volcanic activity, you’ll find white sands and black sands on the island of Hawaii. Located on the southeastern Ka’u coast, Punaluu Black Sand Beach is one of the most famous black sand beaches in Hawaii.
Located between the towns of Pahala and Naalehu in Ka’u, Punaluu Black Sand Beach’s jet black shores are an unforgettable sight. Coconut palms fringe the upper edge of sand and you may also discover large Honu, (Hawaiian Green Sea Turtles), basking on the beach.
  • Hawaii Volcanoes National Park - Hawai‘i Volcanoes National Park protects some of the most unique geological, biological, and cultural landscapes in the world. The park encompasses the summits of the world’s most active volcano, KÄ«lauea. The only comprehensive Park Tour available. Tour the Park and the entire Chain of Craters Road from Summit to Sea.
  • Saddle Road - Saddle Road, Hawaii, is considered among the most spectacular roads in the world. This is 55-mile drive of a chance of a lifetime experience. Hawaii’s Route 200 goes through all four of her climates – tropical forests, arid desert, lush grasslands and misty mountaintop fog. Between miles 19 and 23, you’ll see a few places with lava flows and young vegetation and trees. But just after Saddlehouse Road, you’ll see the ridges that show where a 1936 flow slowly came to a stop 2 miles away. Near the road you can see where lava thickened and left the telltale mounds of a slowing flow. From here, you’ll continue through the volcanic aftermath of hundreds of thousands of years of lava activity as you head toward Belt Road, where you’ll eventually descend into Kona or Waikoloa.
  • Rainbow Falls - On sunny days, rainbows appear in the mist of the 80-foot falls, making for some pretty magical views. The broad waterfall — nearly 100 feet in diameter — plunges over a natural lava cave and into the river below.

When it rains, (which it often does in Hilo), the engorged Wailuku River makes the falls wider, muddier and louder. On these days, you won’t see the rainbows for which this spot is named, but the sheer volume of water and the accessibility of this spot for all ages make it a fun, quick and easy excursion.

  • Hilo - Drive through Historic town of Hilo.

I could tell that Zane loved what he was doing and knew what he was talking about! - I felt like I was with family that lived on the island. We spent the day touring the island and visited several different places. If you only do one tour of the island itself, this is the one to do! He knows a lot about the island, the culture, history, and of course the landscape. One of the many highlights was the tour of the volcano. We didn’t see an eruption but Zane shared pictures and videos that he took of past eruptions. We had plenty of opportunities to explore the area around the island.

Amazing knowledgeable tour - Erick was amazing and very knowledgeable. He was on time with pickup and honestly really takes care of his customers. He had snacks for the trip raincoats we used with umbrellas and throughout the drive he had a headset he used to speak thru the speaker system to educate us on the island as we drove. If you desire to learn and have fun book this company because it was worth it. The lunch at the restaurant was great as well and he also follows up with you after the tour if you have questions about anything to do on the island. Well worth it.

Enjoyable trip. - We were picked up by Eric, one of the owners. A good driver and very knowledgeable guide. A great tour even we had in the afternoon some bad luck with the weather, but weather can‘t be influenced. A recommended tour from Kona.

Best Island Tour! - Best island tour! Having an owner operatered tour led by a geologist made all the difference when seeing volcanoes and lava flows. Add a coffee farm tour, black sand beach, waterfalls and lunch at a restaurant (not a box lunch) made for a perfect day! Pick up at your hotel and small group of only 14 max instead of a large bus was perfect.

Must do tour - David, our amiable and professional tour guide, offered an engaging and enlightening tour. His extensive knowledge enriched our experience as he adeptly responded to numerous questions. The tour encompassed diverse stops like a coffee plantation, volcano, lava tube, waterfall, and black sand beach, culminating in a scenic lunch atop the volcano. His deep insights into Hawaiian culture and history were invaluable. I wholeheartedly recommend both David as a tour guide and the overall experience, suitable for all ages. My husband and I relished every moment of this enriching excursion.

Well Worth A Visit - Wonderful views of current and former volcanoes. The park guides and staff are extremely helpful. You can do a quick tour or a longer one based on your interests. We toured on our own and used an app called GuideAlong which helped us understand the park more. I’d recommend it too.
