Hawaii Volcanoes National Park, the predominant highlight of the Big Island, houses some of the state’s most magnificent natural wonders. Our Volcano Express tour, lasting a duration of 8 hours during the daylight, is crafted for visitors who are pressed for time, offering a direct route to the Kilauea Volcano, involving very few detours. Meals, entrance charges to the park, and conveyance facilities come included, thus allowing you to fully immerse in the astonishing volcanic scenery. However, for reasons related to their well-being, it’s advisable that children below 5 years of age do not participate in this tour.

Hawaii at its Finest! - Our tour guide, Debra, was exceptional! A warm , friendly person with a vast amount of knowledge about the island-its history, culture , its language, the diversity of the people as well as the geological and scientific facts about the rain forest and of course, the volcanoes. She explained it all with such clarity and enthusiasm. Her pace was perfect. She kept us all engaged and excited. We were also well nourished by our lunch and our snacks. Our age range was from 5 to 49 to 73. We all enjoyed a stellar day. Thank you again!

A must do tour! - First off, the main reason for giving a 5 star review is our tour guide, Chris. From the moment he picked us up at the cruise line pier, he was a blast. Chris filled the entire afternoon with extremely interesting and humorous facts and stories. The stops began with delicious pastries and coffee, then onto black sand beaches, the Volcano National Park, walking through a lava tube and finishing at the beautiful Rainbow Falls.
Highly recommended tour, and cross your fingers you get Chris as your guide!

Great Introduction to Big Island - Billed as 8 hours, it was nearly 9 hours at an unhurried pace. VERY well-informed guide (David) was a good teacher without being teach-y. Leisurely stops at several locations. If Kilauea is erupting, you will see it up close. Comfortable van rode smoothly and he's a good driver.

Volcanoes-Lava-Waterfalls-Jungles-Black Sand -Cliffs - Chris was the best guide because he added personal stories and he is a native of the island. We visited the volcano, lava tube, waterfalls, jungles,black sand beaches and more! The scenery is breath-taking and the hospitality was A+.
It's a long day so be prepared for a full Kona/Hilo experience. Our weather was perfect-sunny and inviting

Amazing big island tour - I went on this tour in late May 2023 and it blew away my expectations. Everything we saw was amazing, but our driver/guide Jim was what made the big difference. He was extremely pleasant and knowledgable about everything on the tour and everything on the island that was not on the tour. His details about the coffee farmers and volcanoes was over the top awesome. We will never forget the walk through the lava with Jim and everything he pointed out to us. You must do this tour to get an appreciation for the big island!

Really great "quick" tour - Great daytime volcano tour. The weather made the caldera mostly not visible, but the steam vents and the lava tube were awesome. Our tour guide Steffan was extremely knowledgable and friendly. He even fit in some extra stops based on some plants that another person on the tour wanted to see. In addition to some great info about the volcanoes and the landscape, he also gave us quite a few recommendations for restaurants and other off-the-beaten path beaches to visit that we used throughout the week.

Not worth the money or time - If you are under the age of 60 do NOT take this tour. We spent more time in gift shops than outdoors seeing the sights. 12 hours in a van with limited movement is not fun. We stopped at 5 different gift shops (including the coffee farm and winery) yet only 4 natural sites. Total waste of money and time. Further, facts shared by the guide were incorrect - history, data about the island, etc questionable and information about the tour cost misinformed.
