Surfing with the grands - My grandchildren loved it, the staff were great and patient with them. They all stood up for a few waves! Got great pictures.

Wonderful Experience - Our instructor was wonderful, he got us going on as many waves as possible and was very efficient with our time! He was very intelligent and a great teacher. Any questions we had he was able to answer.

Great Fun - Our surfing instructor, Hauns, was so patience with us. This was our first time to surf. I would recommend doing this while you’re in Hawaii.

Surf lessons for newbies! - Our group of 4, ranging in age from 31 to 60 had a great time learning to surf in Hawaii! Special shout out to our instructor Ali, for her patience and guidance. She made it very easy to “ride the waves”. Ask for her!

Fantastic surf lesson with Brady and Thomas! - We had an absolutely amazing time during our surf lesson here! The instructors Brady and Thomas were patient, encouraging, and fun; they helped us learn quickly and we all caught some waves! The environment is so fun and welcoming, and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Throughout the lesson there is a photographer taking pictures of everyone that are posted onto a website for viewing and purchase after the lesson, which all came out great! Thank you to everyone at Kona Surf Adventures for an unforgettable experience. 10/10 recommend!

Fun introduction to surfing - We wanted to try surfing and booked this through TripAdvisor. As for many outings in Hawaii, we met them at a white van on the roadside near a beach south of Kona. The actual name of the organization isn't Surf with the Pros but Kona Town Surf Adventures so it was a bit confusing to find them since that's what our confirmation from TA read. Our instructors were very patient and helpful. The fitted us in booties, rash guards and reef-safe sunscreen. We had a small group of 5 people; however, there were many other groups on the water that day so there was sometimes a traffic jam of surfers waiting to catch a wave. Each of us caught about 3 rides (the surf wasn't breaking much that day.) Nevertheless, at the end our arms were very tired even though we are in good shape!

Harder than it looks but you MUST try it. - Taj was kind, and informative. He was concerned with our safety and the we had a great experience. The activity is 2 hours. The safety briefing was 5 minutes. Instruction was much appreciated. We didn't last the 2 hours because we were exhausted. Taj gave us the option to rest and go back out. He paddles at twice our speed! We learned so much from Taj! He and other surfers have our respect.

We had a lot of fun learning surf! - Fun time getting the basics down and catching our first wave. The instructor showed us a good time, he had great tips and was very supportive. We would definitely surf again with him. We get why everyone enjoys it so much, wish we could surf more often.

Would happily sign up again. - They were super friendly and helpful, had a wicked time. Felt safe and comfortable in a zero stress environment. For my first time ever on a surf board it was an awesome experience. 10/10

Good Deal with some caveats - I'll start off by saying that all of our kids had a great time and all were able to surf successfully. That said, we were a little taken aback by the age of the instructors. The website said 'professionals' which I would define as an experienced instructor, but we ended up with two teenagers, who were younger than our kids. Probably along the same lines, it was also disorganized. It got a late start and I think it ended early, but I also don't believe there was a hard stop specified, so that may be on me.
