It is an extremely rare occurrence, but if we do not see ANY manta rays on our Night Manta Experience, you are welcome to come back out with us again during the same vacation, based on availability, totally free of charge. Make sure you call us right away so that we may reschedule you! Non-refundable and non-transferable.

Can't overstate the manta ray experience with this crew top to bottom simply the best. - Recommended by a local friend. So fortunate for this experience. Staff were all profesional, positive, and personable. Top tier experience and I dont hesitate to recommend this company for anything they offer, and I seldom make personal recomendations heck i might book à 3 hr caption cook snorkle as well this trip.

Awesome snorkel experience - Sea Quest made this such a fun, seamless, and amazing experience that I already want to book with them again on my next trip to Hawai'i. Check in process was easy and their staff was very clear and helpful prior to boarding the boat. They were very nice, helpful, and knowledge throughout the whole time. We felt safe and prepared during the whole tour. I know this next part is up to nature but we saw so many manta rays during our time in the water and it was truly an amazing experience. Highly recommend!

Best Company for a Surreal Experience - Amazing company, great crew, super safe, and a truly magical experience of night swimming with Manta Rays. The entire experience is very safe, and highly enjoyable. This company is amazing all the way through they were super responsive over the phone and answered all our queries over the phone. We got a discount from Trip Advisor and they honored the ticket. We were waitlisted for an earlier time slot and they did call us to inform of availability, we still took the 8 PM tour. Check in was 30 minutes before. They gave us option to chose from short or full wet suits, and their staff was super polite, jolly, and helpful towards all guests. Prior to boarding they gathered all guests and provided a straightforward instructions. Same were repeated on board the medium sized plastic boat. The boat ride was very short and the crew kept it light with fun facts. The crew made sure everyone was safe before and after getting in the water. The snorkel gear was in pretty good shape. Getting in the water felt like going in a lit up swimming pool. The staff were super alert, constantly sharing information in a fun way, and keeping a very close eye on all members in the water. We spent around 35 minutes in water and had the amazing experience of swimming in close proximity with 6 to 8 Manta Rays of all sizes. It does get a bit tiring holding the float board for over 30 minutes. The return boat ride was a little longer probably due to wind/waves. Back at the land location they served hot coffee, ginger ale, and cookies to all guests. Highly Recommend this tour for experiencing Night Swimming with Manta Rays.

Incredible Experience - Do Not Miss - There are lots of companies offering manta ray snorkels, many out of a van on the side of the road. Sea Quest has building at the dock and everything about the operation was professional. The group was the perfect size for this trip. They had quality wet suits and snorkel equipment and even offered underwater cameras for rent. The staff was courteous and took extra care with those who were a little anxious about the excursion. We had several manta rays come by (the staff knew them by name) shortly after we entered and had as many as 7 around us at times. This is an incredible experience not to be missed and I highly recommend Sea Quest!

AMAZING EXPERIENCE!!! - Nick provided an awesome experience. The equipment was top notch including wetsuits and goggles. Informative and educational crew provided attentive support for our group. Even if you are afraid, do this!! Got amazing videos of the mantas using my phone in a waterproof case. You can’t touch them but they will brush you! Memory of a lifetime!! Choose Sea Quest!

THE BEST & ONLY TOUR CHOICE! - A-MAZING! Such a wonderful experience all the way around! From arrival, boat boarding and in the water, the staff was informative, helpful, and reassuring.
Capt. Nick, Lily, Abe and the others on the Oct. 7 6:45 pm tour were fantastic and I will be sure to recommend it to anyone headed to The Big Island! A close friend referred me to this company and I’m SO thankful she did!

Extraterrestrial ballet - The Sea Quest team were very well organised, which ensured a memorable encounter with these beautiful creatures. After a very short boat ride, participants floated around boards fitted with downlights that attracted plankton which is the staple diet for manta rays. There were regular mantas that our guides knew by name through their markings. For 40 minutes, or so, we watched these huge creatures as they gracefully somersaulted getting their feed of plankton, fearless of us gawping through our goggles. Nothing prepares you for their massive body gliding mere millimetres from you.
Tips: accept the offer of a wetsuit if you don’t already have one, you will get cold after a while. Also leave fins at home. You will be provided with a noodle that keeps your ankles at the surface as you float.

Educational and exciting manta ray night snorkel - Highly informative, knowledgeable, and courteous crew providing this tour with safety and fun at the forefront. This tour came highly recommended and did not disappoint. The manta rays were out and active - the crew explained how they identify and name the rays based on their spot pattern. We even saw a baby ray swimming around the sea beds. They provided clear instructions for entering and exiting the water and showed great care for the guests.

Great experience - would like but better signage and direction - Our overall experience was very good. As someone who likes to know exactly what is going on, I would’ve liked some better signage and direction and advice from the staff in getting there getting checked in and what was to happen. The on boat people were great, and very helpful. We had a delightful experience with the manta rays. This has been the highlight of our trip to Hawaii.
