This tour....it will make you happy you came to Kona. - What a once in a lifetime night it was. Though I was apprehensive about jumping into the sea at night as I considered the trip, once we got there, I was comfortable and thrilled with it. The team was professional and kind. They did their best to make it exciting and safe and memorable. It was all of that and more. Highly recommend this tour....we were glad to be on this o e rather than the mega ship that was also out that night. And a special thanks to the 10+ mantras we saw all at the same time! Lindsey knew how to make it a special evening we will always remember.

Great Experience - My teen daughter and I took this tour. We enjoyed the crew, the boat ride, and the overall experience. We were able to see a manta ray within minutes of entering the water. Jacob did a great job sharing interesting information while we waited for sightings.

This was a super cool... - This was a super cool experience. We were able to see a lot of manta’s up close. They were doing backflips in the water under the board we were holding on to and were just a couple of inches away from us several times. The boat ride out there was also nice, with a beautiful sunset. The crew was very nice and helpful and had a lot of knowledge of the mantas. Would really recommend doing this, 100% worth it!

Manta Ray on Big Island 5/16/2025 - Received a nice welcome email about 6 hours prior to event start time. Met at harbor. We all put wet suits on and were given instructions on event. The team was very nice as well as professional. We rode out to sight, captain was a gentleman, and very entertaining (Louie), I’m not sure on spelling? Once we arrived at the location we were assisted in getting masks and other incidentals. We jumped in water awaiting the manta rays. Only seems like minutes…then there was one, two, three, up to six manta rays under us. We stayed at least 45 minutes watching them. I used a GoPro and recorded it all. We watched this morning and I must say “exceptional all the way around”. Top 5 for our 16 day vacation in Hawai’i. Jeff B Vermont

We did this awesome tour - here are a few things to note. - This was a fun excursion, for sure! We had awesome guides! Very fun and educational! But a few things should be noted. You really only need to bring a towel with you. Anything you bring stays in the dry cabinet on the boat for the duration. Even your shoes/aquasocks come OFF as you board the boat. The 1st 25 min is a very bumpy, speedy boat ride to 'the sweet spot.' There you get in the water and, as pictured, you hang on to the light board bars. There are waves, and you might get knocked around a bit, but just hang on to your spot. There are quite a few other tours happening simultaneously, so you may end up bumping feet with other groups. If you submerge your entire head (like I do) you will miss hearing all the interesting facts that your guide tells you. But you want to be face-down in the water, looking all around and underneath to spot these big, beautiful creatures! So, it's a balance... Be patient... These are amazing creatures, and when they swim up to your board, it's absolutely breathtaking! You'll get a good 30-45 min in the water, so don't over-grip. (Loosen up your grip, and relax your shoulders - if you are too tense, you'll feel it for the next few days.) It can be tricky to climb back up the ladder into the boat, so if you have knee issues, well.. beware. Then it's a chilly 25 min bumpy ride back to the harbor! So, grab your towel once you are back on the boat! You'll need it to wrap up in! Most of all, ENJOY these magical creatures!

Not recommended - Their boat is too small. Go with bigger tour group. Do not recommend if you get seasick. Boat rocks a lot due to the size.
