After pickup from your hotel, embark on your journey to the lush rainforests that populate the east side of the island. Cruise along Highway 19 and pass though the town of Waimea,
From Waimea, travel along the eastern flank of Mauna Kea volcano, commonly known as the famous Hamakua Coast. Stop at Laupahoehoe for a visual example of the Pacific Ocean’s powerful ability to carve rugged pinnacles.
Continue along jungle roads to Akaka Falls. After lunch, head toward Hilo along some of the island’s most scenic backroads wind along through lush jungle gorges and past epic ocean vistas.
Cap your tour with a visit to Hawaii Volcanoes National Park, and Kilauea volcano. Gaze into Kilauea’s vast summit caldera. Travel the east rift zone of Kilauea along Chain of Craters road and lava flows old and new. Enjoy plenty of time to look around.

The Volcano Van - Awesome Tour - Wow, what a fantastic day! We got some of our favorite pictures from our trip to Hawaii while we were on The Volcano Van tour. Scott showed us all of the amazing sights around the Big Island as well as shared his vast knowledge about the volcanoes, the different ecosystems and so much more about this unique island. The day we spent with Scott was a real highlight of our time in Hawaii.

Great day in the volcano van !! - Learning from Scotts vast knowledge of volcanoes and the island and its people. All of the stops were beautiful and the malasadas the best we ever experienced.

Awesome round the island tour - Our guide Scott has a deep knowledge of Hawai's volcanos, and as for his personality, he is kind and thoughtful. This tour is go-around-the-island tour by car for about 200 miles or 320 km. You'll find a big variety of landscape and climate in the Big Island. Unless we joined this tour, we never find that a part of this island is so much tropical. If your mother tongue is not English, you'd better ask him to speak slowly when he explains to you about the volcanos. He speaks very fast, just as his enthusiasm flows !

Private volcano tour - Fabulous day with Scott. He is tons of fun and a wealth of knowledge. We stopped for malasadas that were delicious. Went to the volcano and walked through the fern forest and through the lava tunnel. Then we went to black sand beach (very windy). A long day but very worth it

Island fun - This was the most amazing tour. We saw so many things on the island. I believe we saw some beautiful sites that we would not have seen on a bigger tour. Scott, the tour guide, was personable, knowledgeable, funny and just fun. He was willing to stop at sites that were not on his list. He even stopped at a grocery store for us. There were 6 of us on the tour. 4 we did not know, but they were so nice and there was plenty of room in the van. If you want a unique, informative, fun trip……take this one! Can

Volcanoes and more! - We just had a great volcano tour with Scott. He was very kind and knowledgeable and ready to answer any questions we might have. It was four of us and it was awesome to have the small group experience. We would definitely do it again!
