The best way to see the city, no hassle! - This is an awesome way to see the main attractions, you can get off the bus and explore the attraction and catch the next bus or the next they come around every 15 mins. We got the tour with the head phones so we could hear the history/information in English. A great way to see the city!! Great value!!

Hop on hop off bus tour of Dresden - We felt the two hour bus ride was very interesting, but about 30 minutes too long. But the reservation process was simple to navigate, the staff at the beginning of the tour was helpful and the headset worked for English, speaking clients, although over the megaphone, the German loudspeaker drowned out what I was trying to here in English

Good way to see the city - Good way to see all the sites without a car especially in winter, the one thing I’ll say though is that it was advertised as English tour, the whole thing was in German and we had to listen to the English translation with headphones over the top of the German tour guide. By the end of it I had enough of it. You could however just not listen and watch and it’s easy to get on and off the next bus at any stops you wish

Enjoyable - For a quick overview of the city this tour is worthwhile and takes you through some of less well known areas - although the highlight is of course the wonderful view of the old city from the hill area from across the Elbe - one of Europe's greatest vistas. The city's nickname "Florence on the Elbe" is well deserved" and because of the gigantic labour of reconstruction, hard earned too.

Good way to see the city, but not the best hop-on I’ve been on - If you’ve taken a hop-on-hop-off bus before you know how these tend to work, but here’s the specifics. I went in March so the route was slightly shorter, the price slightly lower, and the waits significantly longer. Hopping off is more of a commitment when buses only come every 30-60 minutes. The route does cover a lot of ground that would be hard to get to via public transport to expensive via a private tour. Dresden’s mountainous areas are so beautiful I’m glad I made sure to see them. The buses themselves are quite luck-dependant. My first one was sweetly old-fashioned, and had screen displays that were easy to navigate, but the second one was less attractive and more outdated. It is also important to know that this is not open-top. Which you can see looking at the material, but for some reason I didn’t take that in when I booked. You’re not fighting the cold and wind, but the views are not as full and it makes photo taking almost pointless, but let’s be honest most open-top bus photos aren’t great anyway. (That said I did get a lucky shot of the sunset). If you choose to take it I recommend getting off at pfunds molkerei, and walking towards the Kunsthofpassage. It’s a beautiful set of buildings and a lovely neighborhood to look around. Also, goes without saying, but best views at the front of the top deck!

Typical hop/on off experience - The tour route was good. We were surprised on getting on the bus intially that credit cards were not accepted. Finding two seats together with headphone jacks that worked was a bit challenging. Once we had audio information, it was quite thorough and interesting. The one time we hopped off with the intention of hopping back on, we had quite a long wait for the next bus.

Great way to see the city - poor tourist experience - We were on the first bus in the morning but at stop 8 so top floor was full and we sat in the back were view was limited. Still the worst part was heavy diesel fumes in the area. We had gotten head sets as even if I understand German I prefer English. Had some trouble with the system as some of the outlets did not work. But finally we could enjoy the trip and saw lots of beautiful places. We got off after an hour to see some sights and get lunch and jumped on again to see the rest of the tour. This time top floor was free but turned out it did not have audio outlets (at least not at our seats). We bought tickets online and got some discount as well as 48 hours access but it was our last day. We had been here were we walked around and saw old city but in rear view mirror we should have started with this and seen what Dresden has to offer. I hope they upgrade their busses to electric ones with audio on top floor too.

Not worth it - I would not recommend at all. This is a complete waste of time. The audio wasn't working on part of the ride.
