well worth the price to explore the city and its surroundings - Definitely recommended for those who are not familiar with the city, but also for the surroundings and the blue bridge (the miracle). We had the best seats at the top near the window, ideal for taking photos. nice stops, especially the Môlkerei along the way.

Our expectations were exceeded. We'd go back anytime 😄 - Very, very worthwhile!!!! The trip to Pillnitz was fun. The bus driver was really friendly and in a good mood 😄. We learned a lot of interesting things from him and his travel companion, Manu. I was particularly impressed by how much you could really feel their love for their city. They were able to convey to me how livable Dresden is and how great the cultural offering is in this city and the surrounding area. I had no expectations when I got on a hop on hop off bus. The best way to see the city, no hassle! - This is an awesome way to see the main attractions, you can get off the bus and explore the attraction and catch the next bus or the next they come around every 15 mins. We got the tour with the head phones so we could hear the history/information in English. A great way to see the city!! Great value!!

Great - Great tour, which unfortunately I was only able to do for 1 day, as the other day the city stopped for a cycling competition. It costs 20 euros and 2 more for the 2nd day, which I couldn't take advantage of. Very good indeed!

Good for a quick overview - It was a great way to get a good overview of the city. The walking tour is 1.5 hours. We skipped it due to lack of time. The Zwinger Palace grounds have been completely dug up, so it is a little challenging to get around to the 3 museums on the premises. The sound on thr English audio guide on the bus was quite scratchy and was difficult to hear. There are plenty of these buses running around the city, so they are quite easy to catch.

Good way to see the city, but not the best hop-on I’ve been on - If you’ve taken a hop-on-hop-off bus before you know how these tend to work, but here’s the specifics. I went in March so the route was slightly shorter, the price slightly lower, and the waits significantly longer. Hopping off is more of a commitment when buses only come every 30-60 minutes. The route does cover a lot of ground that would be hard to get to via public transport to expensive via a private tour. Dresden’s mountainous areas are so beautiful I’m glad I made sure to see them. The buses themselves are quite luck-dependant. My first one was sweetly old-fashioned, and had screen displays that were easy to navigate, but the second one was less attractive and more outdated. It is also important to know that this is not open-top. Which you can see looking at the material, but for some reason I didn’t take that in when I booked. You’re not fighting the cold and wind, but the views are not as full and it makes photo taking almost pointless, but let’s be honest most open-top bus photos aren’t great anyway. (That said I did get a lucky shot of the sunset). If you choose to take it I recommend getting off at pfunds molkerei, and walking towards the Kunsthofpassage. It’s a beautiful set of buildings and a lovely neighborhood to look around. Also, goes without saying, but best views at the front of the top deck!

Typical hop/on off experience - The tour route was good. We were surprised on getting on the bus intially that credit cards were not accepted. Finding two seats together with headphone jacks that worked was a bit challenging. Once we had audio information, it was quite thorough and interesting. The one time we hopped off with the intention of hopping back on, we had quite a long wait for the next bus.

Not worth it - I would not recommend at all. This is a complete waste of time. The audio wasn't working on part of the ride.
