The Best Tour Guide - The day bus was good but the walking tour and night bus were a standout because of the tour guide Freddie. He mixes interesting facts with humour and great enthusiasm. He is an amazing story teller and a lovely bloke too. Made it even better when he told us he was living in Berlin during the fall of the wall so you knew he knew his stuff. Highly recommend!

See all of Berlin a Day - Absolutely loved this bus tour! We saw everything and it gave us a great overview of the city to plan the rest of stay. We didn’t expect to see as much as we did in one day. Would highly recommend!

Great experience. - I liked all the comments, information about the place's history. I know it wasn’t the “high season” , but would have been nice to have more frequent buses.

The best way to get around Berlin sightseeing. - The perfect way to get around Berlin sightseeing with a good route & lots of stops. Full marks to a very helpful young man who is a BB staff member. He advised us of the best places to get off. etc. Our ticket price included a curry wurst at the Brandenburg gate, another nice bonus. date used 5th Feb 2024

Roaming around in the Big Red Bus in Berlin ! - First class. great way of seeing all sites, in fact, great way of building round your whole visit as you can hop on and hop off at will. We recommend the app. to use as a timing tool as part of your itinerary. Great value for the money and a great alternative to taxis and buses.

Big bus Berlin - Overall this was very good, informative and good routes. The employees at Alexandraplatz are helpful and happy. Our only criticism was the employee at KaDeWe on Fri we found rude on 2 occasions when we needed help.

Good customer service - The reason for the low rating is only due to the fact that Berlin is flat and easy to walk around. We used the bus to get to the furthest distance then walk back. The tour stops at or near every major site of interest. The drivers were all very polite and helpful. Sometimes you may have a 25-35 wait and some stops are only a few minutes, so yet again plan your journey as you can walk between stops as well. Book online it's cheaper.

Useful transport as a tourist - This is not my first hop-on-hop-off tour, and I would say that if you take a lot of them you know what to expect. Berlin is, I think, a difficult city to travel around as a tourist. Unlike most European cities most attractions are not within walking distance of each other. If you want to play it cheap you can get public transport, which is surprisingly easy to use, but just in terms of the geography of the city I decided to take this tour. In terms of the audioguide, it felt like a third of the information was actually historically informative, a third of it was telling us about the stops and what to expect when we walk around, and a third of it was adverts. Like I don't need my audioguide telling me how good the Hard Rock Cafe is when I am paying for a tour of a city. Another complaint I have is that there aren't nearly enough stop buttons, so getting off when you want to feels annoying like guesswork rather than something you can think about when you get there. At the same time, you have to be very sure you memorise where you got on and flag it down when it comes, because unlike other cities like Dresden there are not branded bus stops at each stop, although some have sales representative hanging around. I will say the app is brilliant. It is very easy to use and definitely helped me to plan my journey and when to be at a stop, since there is live tracking. It is well worth downloaded, but don't allow it to send you notifications or it will bombard you with ads. If you are thinking about taking this tour as an easy way to combine transportation with a little bit of history, then go for it. If you are looking for a sincere, thorough tour I would say you are better off with a walking tour or splashing out on a Trebi if you can afford it.

Poor value for money - The audio commentary was minimal, often leaving out intersting buildings and sights along the way. The announcment of upcoming stops was erratic and the stops that were announced did not always correapond with the route published on the company's web site. A lot of the sliding windows on the upper bus deck did not move, making it uncomfortably warm when the sun came out and of the 6 audio outlets that we tried, only three were working. If the tour hadn't been so expensive, one might have overlooked these flaws, but at the price they are asking, quality should have been better.

Poor customer service - The only positive thing I have to say was the customer service we received to move the booking back by a day due to delays with arriving. Trying to get the booking confirmed with the rep at the bus in the day was painful. We had previously spoken to the ticket guy at the ticket bus on alexanderplatze who took my printed confirmation and didn't tell us we were I the wrong place to pick up the bus. The next rep eventually herded us on to the red route bus when we clearly had said we wanted the blue route. Then, due to a public demo taking place, some streets were shut and so we took the only option which was to get off. We had gone two stops. The driver would have known about the road closures before setting odd. We all felt that each rep we spoke to just wanted to sell tickets and not deal with customer queries/issues. We would not recommend this tour at all
