Totally recommended! Exhaustive tour! - Visiting the Galata neighborhood with Burak was very interesting. The tour lasted 4 hours and it included the visit of the jewish museum and of a synagogue. The museum is small but they have a great collection of artifacts and many newspapers in ladino. Burak is an excellent guide and adapts the tour to your previous knowledge and to your interests. He knows a lot about the history of the city and its buildings. It was great!

Amazingly knowledgeable guide. Tour was a great intellectual experience! - Burak was my guide and the depth and breadth of his knowledge is amazing! You will feel very much like you are having a conversation with a history buff, a political geography enthusiast and an analyst who sees the multiple (often sensitive) perspectives on the same issue. I thoroughly enjoyed the tour, which went well beyond learning about Jewish presence in Istanbul. Burak's extensive knowledge includes diplomatic negotiations, cultural anthropology, demography, dominant-minority relations, the history of the Turkish intelligentsia and human geography. Totally recommend this tour, irrespective of your interest in Jewish heritage in Istanbul. It's an intellectual experience for anyone who wishes to broaden their appreciation and exposure to the patterns of human civilization.

Great experience - The guide was lovely, friendly and very accomodating, even deviated from the itinerary to come and pick us up from our hotel. The highlight wss the Jewish Museum. Heavily fortified!! But lovely and insightful an has a well stocked bookshop with brilliant books of Jewish History in Turkey. All well priced.
