- Memorial and Museum Sachsenhausen - The visit to the former Sachsenhausen Concentration Camp starts at the Memorial entrance, where participants learn about its significance as a model camp in the Nazi regime. The tour proceeds to the former SS Officers’ Casino, highlighting the stark contrast to the prisoners’ conditions. Through Tower A, the main gate, the camp’s layout, designed for total control, is evident. On the Roll Call Square, the group hears about the grueling daily roll calls. In Barracks 38 and 39, the focus is on the persecution of Jewish prisoners. The former camp kitchen, now a museum, displays documents and testimonies about forced labor and daily life. At the ruins of Station Z, the site of the gas chamber and crematoria, the camp’s role as a place of extermination is confronted. The tour concludes at the infirmary and pathology lab, where medical experiments and abuse occurred.
- Oranienburg - From Oranienburg, a train is taken back to Berlin.
