Walking with Walid - So much history and information, Walid took his time to get to know us and answer questions, and his descriptions saved us a lot of reading around the site! The train was stress free, we walked at a gentle pace and had the opportunity to stop and sit down, or take in the museums at our own pace.

Sachsenhausen Tour - Pete was amazing! His knowledge was excellent and very factual. He was very helpful and friendly after the tour with some great recommendations. Couldn’t recommend him more as a guide.

A very informative tour - The tour of Sachsenhausen with Buendia Tours was absolutely brilliant and one not to be missed if you are in Berlin and interested in wartime history. Our guide Pete was honest, thoughtful and very generous with his knowledge. He made sure that the tour was presented in a way that was both easily understandable to those with varying knowledge and sensitive to the topics being spoken about. The tour started at Alexanderplatz and the journey to the camp took two trains (one underground, one mainline railway) and was about an hour travel in total. Be aware that you do need to purchase an ABC train ticket in advance of the tour and the tour will start promptly at the time stated on the booking so do not be late. Once we arrived at the town where the camp is situated (Oranienburg), we walked for around 15-20 minutes, stopping briefly to chat about a couple of different facts about the town. There are bathrooms situated at the visitor centre of the camp if required and the entire tour is on pretty even surfaces. The tour itself was mainly outside, which was tricky in the cold Berlin winter, but Pete did give the option for those who wanted to stay warm to sit in the café on site and meet the rest of the group once the tour was over. He also gave the option for those wishing to stay longer at the camp to get a later train back. Overall, the tour was informative and a great opportunity to see a camp with so much dark history behind it. I could not recommend the tour, or Pete as a guide, more.

An overwhelming and very moving experience - The young German guide gave an incredibly poignant and heartfelt insight into this terrible period of history. The whole experience was very moving.

Great guides, company needs organization - The guide, Lucia, was exceptional. The organization (Buendia) was not my favorite. The meetup point was unclear and the company was difficult to get ahold of, and they do not give any signs to their host for guests to easily locate. When I was able to finally reach them (they called me!), they could not provide any clear detail on where to meet up and I had to keep asking them to repeat themselves because I could hear other representatives on the phone next to them speaking loudly. I traveled to the location on my own and met up with the group and guide there. The tour was excellent and Lucia was full of knowledge and information. She was also approachable, kind, and made sure that after the tour we all knew how to get back.

Great tour - Jonas very informative - Jonas our guide was very informative and efficient. He provided us with lots of information throughout the tour and answered everyone’s questions with ease. He obviously has extensive knowledge. It was easy to spot the tour meeting spot at Alexanderplatz and Jonas made sure we all knew which transport links we needed for our journey.

Avoid At All Costs!!!! - This company is a scam. For your own sake, please book with anyone but this company, if I could give them 0 stars I would. After arriving 15 minutes early to the ‘pick up point’ they provided, I messaged the tour guide asking where everyone was, I had no response. Once it reached the time we were supposed to be leaving, I messaged the guide again asking where everyone was, I had no response. 15 minutes later I messaged the guide again and asked if we were still going and could someone please get in contact as it had been 45 minutes, I had no response. After giving up, I contacted Viator to see if I could get through to them where I then received a message from the Guide to say they had left and I would not receive a refund as it was my fault I didn’t go on the tour. Thankfully (after some conflict), I have received a refund through Viator as they agree the situation was out of my control; the company refused to refund anything. The company made no effort to get in contact with us and were extremely unprofessional in the situation.
