Highlights
  • Adalbertstraße - The photo tour starts at Kottbusser Tor with historical pictures of this square, which has changed so extremely over the last 150 years. What the large residential towers are, which building plan they belonged to and why the subway here is an elevated railroad, we will reveal there.
  • Oranienplatz - The Oranienplatz has also undergone a massive change after it was planned by Lenné. He also conceived Sanssouci and the Pfaueninsel and shaped the cityscape of Berlin.
  • Oranienstraße - Welche der Hinterhöfe in der Oranienstraße sind einen Besuch wert? In welche kommt man überhaupt rein? Mit uns in genau die, die auch fotogen und spannend sind. Wann wurden sie erbaut und welche architektonischen Ideen sich hinter ihnen verbergen, wisst ihr nach diesen Stationen.
  • Rio-Reiser-Platz - Which Heinrich gave this place its name? How could the planned complete demolition of the houses standing here be prevented and what do squatters have to do with it? Here you can find out.
  • Mariannenplatz - Who was this Marianne after whom the square was named? What has happened here in the last decades? And what is it about the great Kunsthaus that is located there? We’ll find out together!
  • Engelbecken - Although the Engelbecken is located in the Mitte district, it belongs to Kreuzberg for many reasons. Unique commitment of the residents and an interesting history, accompanied by historical photos await you at this point.
