Bringing alive queer and trans history from the end of the 19th century until present day. - I've visited Berlin many times over the years and always loved it but this tour gave me so many new insights and an understanding of how it has developed into one of the world's most dynamic and inclusive LGBTQ cities in the world. Jeff was fantastic, fun and knowledgeable. There have been many highs and lows over the years and those darker periods of history (the nazis and AIDS in particular) were sobering but handled sensitively and with compassion. In contrast the roaring 20's and development of latter day club culture were joyous and visiting some of the sites where it all began really took you back there. I had thought 3 and a half hours would be a bit long for a tour but the combination of multi-media presentations, interactive discussion and information giving always kept interest and the time flew by. I would recommend the tour to anyone, not just those from the LGBTQ communities. But certainly, as a gay man, this tour gave me insights which will make me appreciate the city even more when I visit in the future.

Take this tour! - The tour was wonderful. A journey though histories of both sorrow and joy, defeats and victories. Jeff is very knowledgeable, but also allows for the tour to be a conversation which creates a welcoming and personal environment. His tact and respect gives space for the participants to have their own personal experience with the histories we walked and talked through. Despite the length of the timeframe being covered in the tour it was engaging the entire time. The information was accessible to both folks with less prior knowledge, yet still in depth for those with more experience with the topics. The augmented reality screen enhanced my ability to see the past in a way that a picture cannot do. I highly recommend this tour.

Three and a half hours of rainbow education - A really fascinating dive into Berlin's gay history, the good and the bad. Jeff was extremely knowledgable and an extremely nice bloke. It was interactive and informative - and even if you think you know it all, you really don't. I'm looking forward to going on another of Jeff's tours.

Berlin's queer history at its finest - I really enjoyed the tour. Jeff was obviously passionate about the queer history of Berlin and the augmented reality he used on his tablet brought history to some of the places that have changed over the years. And the videos that he showed during the walk, made it easier to understand the complex and troubling German history of queer people and places that make Berlin so unique. Thanks Jeff!

Best Walking Tour I’ve Ever Taken - This is the best walking tour I’ve ever done, and I’ve done many. As a queer person, learning history of the first queer movement was very meaningful. Jeff creates a very good flow with heavy content followed by joyful content. The use of the iPad for imagery & video is done well, and it adds a lot to the tour in a thoughtful way. Definitely take Jeff’s queer tour.

Interesting and fun guided tour of Berlin's queer history - Very nice tour guide, interesting and very entertaining explained, loosened up with quizzes and well supplemented with corresponding videos and pictures. A short break in between would have been good, perhaps stopping for a drink in the neighbourhood.
