Private Historical Highlights Berlin with Bike or Rickshaw 5 Hours

Alexanderplatz - On Day 2, the program aims to start around 10:30 AM and conclude by 3:30 PM, allowing time for personal exploration. The tour can end at a museum, art gallery, market, shopping center, or even a restaurant for lunch or dinner, or the operator can return you to your hotel. For instance, the tour might begin at Germany’s tallest structure, the iconic TV Tower, located in the lively Alexanderplatz. From there, the tour proceeds past the Red Town Hall, Marien Church, and Neptunes Brunn, arriving at Museum Island, a significant museum complex and UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Stadtschloss Berlin - The reconstruction of the Palace of the Prussian Monarchy until 1918. The tour includes Berlin’s beautiful historic boulevard, Unter den Linden.

Book Burning Memorial at Bebelplatz - Just beyond the island, the Forum Fridericianum is visible, comprising the State Opera, the Law Faculty of Humboldt University, Humboldt University, the State Library, and Berlin’s first Catholic Church, St. Hedwig’s Cathedral. This is the center of Bebelplatz, known as the ‘Nazi Book Burning Square,’ where a memorial commemorates the 1933 book burnings.

Gendarmenmarkt - Shortly thereafter, the tour reaches the stunning Gendarmenmarkt, home to the former Royal Concert Hall, flanked by the German Dom to the south and the French Dôm to the north. This square is considered one of the most beautiful in Europe today!

Checkpoint Charlie - The next stop is Checkpoint Charlie, one of the most renowned border crossings of the Berlin Wall, which nearly became the starting point of a third world war.

Topography of Terror - Along the former border strip, original sections of the Berlin Wall can be seen, along with the “Topography of Terror,” a frequently visited documentation center on the National Socialism era, located at the former SS and Gestapo Headquarters.

Potsdamer Platz - Adjacent to this is the Martin-Gropius-Bau, which has hosted exhibitions by renowned artists like Ai Weiwei and David Bowie. In front of it stands the Prussian Parliament. Potsdamer Platz has been Europe’s largest construction site and now features a collection of skyscrapers and futuristic buildings, including the Sony Center.

Fuhrerbunker - This is where Hitler spent the last three months of his life before his death.

The Holocaust Memorial - Memorial to the Murdered Jews of Europe - Following the border strip, the tour reaches the Holocaust Memorial, opened in 2005 to honor the over 6 million Jews murdered during National Socialism.

Brandenburg Gate - The tour then proceeds to the iconic Brandenburg Gate, one of Berlin’s most famous landmarks. Afterward, the tour moves from the former Eastern part of Berlin to the Memorial to the Murdered Sinti and Roma.

Reichstag Building - On Day 2, the program aims to start around 10:30 AM and conclude by 3:30 PM, allowing time for personal exploration. The tour can end at a museum, art gallery, market, shopping center, or even a restaurant for lunch or dinner, or the operator can return you to your hotel. The Government District includes the Reichstag/Bundestag and Chancellery, as well as the Soviet Memorial.

Day 1: Your guide will reach out briefly to introduce your Berlin tours, including meeting times and practical tips to enhance your visit. Depending on your arrival time and fitness level, we can arrange a 3.5-hour bike tour at 10:00 AM or 2:00 PM, or after checking into your hotel, a night tour.

Day 2: We will embark on the Historical Highlights Berlin program for 5 hours.

Day 3: Depending on your arrival on the first day and the program you covered, as well as your departure time, we will plan accordingly.
