Excellent experience! - We took a private 3 hour bike tour as a family of 5 on our first morning of visiting Berlin. It was a super way to see the city and get our bearings. Thor was a fabulous guide - great with the children, sharing so many facts in a fun way. We were really impressed with how much knowledge was shared, nothing too much trouble and plenty of time for questions and discussion. The bikes were very easy to ride and the city is very bike friendly with plenty of routes. We saw most of the main sites and the hours flew by. I would certainly recommend this for any visitors - one of the highlights of our stay. Vielen Dank Thor!!

Blitz Berlin - The guide is very German despite being from another country. He shoots historical data like a machine gun. We learned a lot, specifically about the life during the Soviet era. Plus, it didn’t rain and the ride was easy.

Excellent way to familiarise yourself with landmarks and learn a bit at the same time. - Brilliant start to a few days in Berlin. Guide Nate, (I think) was excellent and very knowledgeable. Excellent way to orientate yourself to landmarks. Kids also learnt more from this than the museums. Would do again!

Great fun and we learned a lot - thouroughly recommended! - The base was easy to find, in a central location. The staff were so friendly and there were bathrooms to use before we set off. They had all the gear to borrow or buy in case you had forgotten anything. Helmets were in all sizes and in great order. The bikes were in good order too and our guide Nate was so friendly and knowledgeable. He had plenty time for us to ask questions and always had the answers. We saw so much in the three hours and the pace was just right. On our return we were greeted with a choice of teas to warm us up and there was time to use the bathrooms before we left. Not so keen when a guide announces that he accepts tips, but we didn't mind as he was a great chap and really deserved it.

Booking cancelled 48hrs prior then price increased. - I booked this tour through Viator in January for a very reasonable price. I received a message 48 hr before the activity to say the booking was cancelled… no explanation. This tour was part of a specific planned itinerary so I had a look on Tripadvisor and the same thing (time, day, provider) was available just significantly more expensive than my original booking. I decided to book and have a ‘discussion’ with Fat Tires before the tour started. I was advised by Fat Tires that they had nothing to do with the cancellation and that I should take it up with Viator/tripadvisor. The response I received from Viator is “Apologize on behalf of Viator for the inconvenience that this has caused you. I'm going to notate this matter on our end, don't worry. Rest assured that viator do not have any authority to cancel a tour without prior notice of the tour supplier or our customer.” I can only conclude that Fat Tires cancelled a long standing booking to increase the price at late notice therefore I cannot recommend them and would suggest caution in booking any tour through them. Neither did they have the integrity to own their decision to do so but instead had me waste my time taking it up with Viator (which is owned by the same company as Tripadvisor).
