A great day - My husband and I really enjoyed the hiking tour with guides Ole and Øystein. They took our group of seven (I think it was) to a location about 45 minutes drive from Bergen. As we climbed up into the hills the guides were happy to stop so we could look at and taste various wild berries (e.g. blueberry, ligonberry, etc), which was fun. Both guides spoke excellent English and were very knowledgeable about the area and were also happy to share information about life in Norway. Our group members had various fitness levels so after a while Ole and Øystein offered two options if our group wanted to consider splitting. One option was to go at a slower pace and walk to a lower scenic location, and the other option was to go faster and higher. My husband and I plus one other group member opted for the faster, higher walk. Ole led the way on that option and bounded along. It was a strenuous walk but the view from the top was well and truly worth the effort. We stopped at the top for lunch and Ole brought out some Norwegian snacks to complement our own packed lunches, which was a nice touch. The atmosphere on the hike was friendly, relaxed and informative. All in all it was a great day and one of the highlights of our time in Norway.

Amazing hike and hospitality - Had an surreal experience climbing Mt Hananipa with our amazing guide Øystein. Very hospitable and extremely knowledge about Bergen and hiking in general. Nothing beats exploring nature and have great conversation while doing it. Took great candid pictures of me and my partner at viewpoints and offered us some reindeer sausages and coffee once we reached the summit. We unfortunately didn’t get a good view from the top because of the weather so Øystein took us to another location where to climbed behind a waterfall and then even higher for an amazing view of the valley and the surrounding area. Would highly recommend this tour and ask for Øystein!.These connections with people are what make the trip worth it’s while.

Stunning experience - the stillness of nature at your footsteps - The hike was incredible. We were taken to a beautiful spot just 45 minutes outside of Bergen. The hike was 5 hours or so, but very manageable with a basic level of fitness. You meet beautiful souls in the fellow hikers, see the most stunning, still nature where very few other people venture, and get great support from the guides. Hugely recommend!

Amazing fjord hike in Bergen - Me and my mom did this amazing hike with our wonderful local guide Normann. Truly an unforgetable and amazing expirience! The views are amazing and the whole hike was the perfect length. We were picked up from the harbour in Bergen and returned to the same spot. Normann was such a sweet guide providing us with interesting information about the Bergen region. Truly recommend for everyone!

Outstanding Hike - I booked this hike on line 2 months before our trip making it very easy to plan ahead. The description was just as they said, that it was a remote hike away from the crowds. The advice on what to have with you was also accurate. There were 8 participants in the group, with 2 guides. They picked us up at the meeting place and we drove about 40minutes out of Bergen, with some lovely views along the way. We did stop at one point at a very small village at the grocery store/ library to use the bathroom or pick up snacks if needed. The hike was moderately challenging for my husband and I, in our mid 60s, in good health and exercise regularly. At a mid point of the hike we were offered to go either a more challenging route to one peak, or a slightly less challenging but still beautiful peak. We chose the slightly easier route with 3 others and each group had its own guide. The other participants were of similar age and younger. The views throughout the hike were beautiful! You are above tree line so can see in all directions to the fjords surrounding this very large island. The many small ponds, streams, and fields were so pretty making for a delightful landscape. The guides were able to tell us about local flora and fauna, as well as some history of the area. They are very obviously in love with being in the outdoors and know the area well. They provided some traditional Norwegian snacks at the top which was very nice. We did bring our own sandwiches as well and had worked up a big appetite. Plus bring our own water. Good trail shoes are a must, there is some rock scrambling, rock hopping and wet conditions, and steep areas so a good grippy shoe is important. It was an outstanding way to experience the natural beauty of Norway. I was so pleased with the guides and the hike!

Nice, fun experience, although a bit on the expensive side for a walk - Great hike with amazing view over the fjord. Guide was very friendly and talkative. Group of 4 including the guide made it very private and peaceful hike. Missed the snack though. Although price is a bit on the high side all things considered we had an amazing time and for first timers in Norway it was a nice look at how easy it is to get to nature when driving 30 minutes out of a city.

Best part of the trip - This is a great trip up of Norwegian mountain. Probably took about an hour and a half to go up but it was scenic all the way and entertaining with a good guide and guests. I would definitely recommend some good hiking shoes given that it can be quite muddy in the summer, but hiking poles is almost certainly optional. You can take your time and really get the spend some time gazing at the scenery and sheep. Inspired me to come back and do more of the same next time I visit.

Great less crowded hike - I was travelling solo in Norway and joined a small group on this hike. We were a group of 4 plus the guide and were the only ones on the trail that day. The guide was friendly and knowledgeable (also brought good snacks :)). The hike is easy but has very nice views. It was very pleasant, I definitely recommend it!

This tour was the cherry on top of our vacation in Bergen - We booked this tour as part of a Bergen vacation in early July. Gaude, our guide, picked us up on time at the agreed location and took us in an entertaining ride out of Bergen to the starting point of the hike. The tour took us through different terrains, always further up the mountain Hananipa. It started in the middle of green wilderness, we continued to follow the trail towards the tree line and in the end we arrived at the summit, which offered us a phenomenal view over the fjord. On the way, Gaude told us interesting things about nature, but gave us enough space to enjoy the scenery and the special silence of this landscape. Here really only a few tourists stray, on our day exactly two other people we met on the tour. This exclusivity also made this excursion special. Gaude combines all the pleasant qualities of a guide - of course he took us up and down on a safe path, took into account the speed of us "city people", who do not cope with such a terrain every day, and had a profound knowledge of the environment and nature with its plants and animals. Gaude was also not afraid to tell a little private, so that quickly an uncomplicated, almost familiar, interaction arose. I would like to especially emphasize that the tour took place even though there were only two of us, so we both had a "quasi-private" experience, which was of course invaluable for us. The tour itself physically average demanding and should be doable for anyone who is at least a little trained. The biggest challenge for us was the path itself, it literally went over hill and dale. Good walking shoes are highly recommended.
