Bergen - Part 1 - A walk through the city
In the first part of the tour, we go for a walk through the lively centre of Bergen. On our way past the fish market, the theatre and the old fire station, we encounter personalities such as Edvard Grieg and Henrik Ibsen. On our tour, however, I don’t only want to bring you closer to the historical sides of the city, but also to the people of Bergen and their life in the here and now.

In the year 2020, the city of Bergen will mark the 950th year since its establishment. The city’s 950-year history has left significant imprints which are evident today, although their significance may not always be recognized. Throughout this city tour, we’ll delve into a short history about what transpired in Bergen in the distant and recent past. The tour is organized into two themed sections.
Section 1 - A city exploration walk
Section 2 - A journey into Bryggen and the German Hanseatic League

Fantastic Tour! - This was the best walking tour we’ve done as a family!
Perfect for our one full day in Bergen, Martin gave us such a comprehensive introduction to the city and its history and personalities - he has such in depth knowledge as well as great stories and photographs to accompany every stop on the tour. We loved it, thank so much Martin!

Best city tour in Bergen - The two of us went on the city tour with Martin. He told us a lot of interesting facts about all the sights in the city in an entertaining way. You can see his passion/knowledge of the country and its people. He also gave us great tips for good restaurants and the best coffee in town. Martin is a very friendly city guide. Thank you very much for the great two hours.
