The drive through the Königsee River Valley was nothing short of spectacular, with the Bavarian Alps rising majestically in the distance. The Untersberg, a mountain steeped in myth and history, loomed large as we crossed the German border. This mountain, often referred to as the heart-chakra of Europe, has been a source of fascination for centuries, and it was easy to see why Hitler chose to build his headquarters at Obersalzberg, with a view of this mystical landmark.

The bus ride, a comfortable forty minutes, was a prelude to the main event.
