Great hiking experience and delicious picnic lunch - The drive up and down involves bouncing around in a 4x4 and winding up loose gravel tracks and watching the landscape change as you get higher. The hike is through pine forest and beautiful landscapes, with Mount Tomor looming above impressively. The castle is definitely a ruin, with no standing walls remaining, but the location is very scenic. The lunch is delicious as well, with several Albanian specialties. The guides are happy to answer any questions and have everything well organised.

Great off-road safari and hike with Albanian lunch. Recommended! - What a great trip this was! First by jeep, on roads you never go to, up the mountain. That was quite an experience. When we couldn't go any further, Niklos was waiting for us with 2 mules. The trip continued on foot and our lunch went on one of the mules. On the other mule our sons took turns to sit a tojd. It was a really beautiful hike to the top of the mountain. Our guide Alma knew how to tell fun legends and facts about the mountains. Before we went back there was a delicious extensive Albanian lunch prepared which we ate in a beautiful place overlooking Mount Tomor. We really recommend this hike. Alma is a fun, enthusiastic guide and the combination of off-road jeep, hike and lunch is superb.

Memorable mountain hike - We had a great Day on the Tomori Mountain with Alma our Guide who took us by 4wd to where we couldn't fo further by car. There we continued our hike with a local guy and 2 mules to the anciënt ruin. Everything was surprisingly beautifull and especially the lunch on the Mountain and our meditation moment are things to remember. Alma, thanks a lot.

If you think you're going donkey riding then you're wrong - When booking this activity you had to give your weight. Makes sense if you think you're going to ride a donkey. Also the ad advertises with pictures of people on donkeys but nothing could be further from the truth. The activity consisted of first being taken to the location with a 4x4. Then you make a hike up. There is a donkey walking with a local but he carries your lunch. Then you arrive at a picnic spot the local stays there to prepare dinner and the group makes another short hike to a higher point. Afterwards it turned out that there was a castle or ruins of but we did not see these. The route of the hike is beautiful and it has nice view spots. Lunch was above expectations with Albanian dishes. After lunch we followed the same route back to the 4x4 cars. All in all, you lost a day. As you hear in my story you are not going to ride a donkey so if you think you will come for that I would recommend you book another tour.
