Spend an entire day exploring one of Albania’s most striking waterfalls where the water seems to spontaneously spring forth from the rock.

The Sotirë falls are dual cascades: one sourced from higher ground, slender and graceful, and the other erupts directly from the cliff, wide and untamed. The time of year with the most voluminous flow is generally spring, nourished by the thawing snow of Mount Tomorri that sustains the subterranean streams culminating in the falls.

The stunning combination of the waterfall and the backdrop of Mount Tomorri offers a memorable experience. The path to the waterfall takes us through untouched, traditional villages, where life has remained unchanged for a couple of centuries. Embarking on the hike to Sotira Waterfall feels like a journey back in time. Resting at an altitude of 100 meters, the waterfall traces its roots back to Mount Tomorri, from where it flows.

The expedition comprises two parts: a motorized part and the hiking section. We’ll spend about four hours driving through the terrain in a 4×4 vehicle, followed by a hiking tenure of 2 to 5 hours, depending on preferences.
