A Great Mysore Experience - Great tour that was well worth the price and time. Praveen, our guide, was passionate about sharing the history of all the sites we visited, very open to answering all our questions, however simple or complex, and a great photographer, who knew just where and when to take great shots. He also was very attentive to the group’s dietary restrictions and selected a lunch spot that accommodated everyone’s tastes. All in all, a great day. Would highly recommend.

A Fabulous Day Tour - With only 48 hours in Bangalore, we wanted to make the most of our time in the area, and several friends recommended Mysore. This tour was definitely a highlight of our travels. From the moment I booked it to when we were dropped off back at our hotel, everything went smoothly - great communication throughout. Our guide Praveen was fantastic - one of those guides who clearly loves their job. He patiently answered all our questions and showed us so much about the area. He also helped me get some great shots when I mentioned I love photography. We loved all the places we visited, and we had plenty of time at each spot to explore. The food for breakfast and lunch (and a few surprise treats) were also phenomenal! Would absolutely recommend this tour to others.

Mysore and more. - This wasn’t simply a trip to Mysore palace. Praveen enhanced this with wonderful food choices for breakfast and lunch, some off the beaten track visits which really added to the trip. Good pace to the trip, always moving along without it feeling too intense. If your in and around Bangalore I would recommend this trip and if and when we’re back in Bangalore I’ll be in touch to see what else Praveen can help us with.

Interesting and beautiful day trip with a great guide - We were in Bangalore for the first time and booked three trips with Praveen. We wanted to see both the city and the surrounding area and learn more about it. Praveen is a dear, cordial guide who knows a lot and has partly led us to places far away from mass tourism. We didn't have to queue anywhere for a long time at the tourist places and we always felt in good hands. Praveen is very generous and has a good heart. We had a wonderful time and can highly recommend his excursions. Thank you very much for the great time!

A well planned and concentrated exposure to heritage sites around Bangalore - We had limited time in Bangalore, so we wanted to maximize our exposure to the many heritage sites in the area. This tour was a very full day, but fully met our needs. Our guide, Deepak Venilal, was exceptional. Deeply knowledgeable, accommodating, engaging: all the essential attributes. The day was long, but it didn’t seem that way, with wonderful breakfast and lunch giving opportunities for rest and reflection. It was almost like a food tour mixed in with the heritage sites, with Deepak ensuring we sampled a wide variety of delicious Indian food.

A day tripped back with history and culture. - Traveling in Bangalore for business. The tour was a fantastic break from the city. Mysore Palace was nice, but the additional stops made the journey worth it. Our guide was very accomodating. We were able to visit restaurants and shops not accessible to big tour companies. Recommend to all who visit Bangalore.

Great experience with knowledgeable guide - Ramesh did a great job on the tour. He was extremely knowledgaeable and has the day perfectly timed out. He gave great tours of the major sites. In addition he also took us on a walk through a local village which gave a better understanding of how people live. Later in the day we had lunch at a very pleasant outdoor restaurant along a river. It was a great day!

Mysore, Somnathpur, Srirangapatna day trip - Praveen from Hidden Gems Tours was our guide. Very knowledgeable about not only the places we visited: Somnathpur, Mysore, and Srirangapatna, but also about Bangalore and Karnataka as he has lived there all his life. He chose great spots for breakfast (a veritable feast of various south Indian dishes!) and lunch (a serene, shaded, riverside restaurant on an island in the middle of the Cauvery river). There was another couple on the tour with us, so it was a small group of four. That allowed plenty of time for questions and personal interactions. Our driver Apsar (spelling?) was also very nice and drove carefully in the chaotic traffic of Bangalore! The 1-day tour of Mysore, Somnathpur, and Srirangapatna makes for a long day, but the temple at Somnathpur made it worthwhile and was the highlight of the tour for us. Praveen knew the history well and pointed out details on the carvings that we would have missed. All in all, highly recommended.

Highlight of our trip to India - Praveen was an excellent guide! With a deep understanding of Indian history and politics, he's not only warm and approachable but also makes the tour incredibly valuable. If you're keen on exploring fascinating historic and cultural sites in the Mysore area with insights into their context, this tour is an excellent choice. Additionally, it unexpectedly takes you to beautiful rural areas, adding to the overall experience. It was indeed a fantastic day!
